Re: [ITALIAN] [DRAMA] Giuseppe Verdi's librettos
I've looked for three of the most famous librettos and I've found editions in PD (checked the dates), all in Italian: Aida: https://archive.org/stream/aidaoperainquatt00verd_1#page/n1/mode/2up Nabucco: https://archive.org/details/nabucodonosordra00verd_5 Rigoletto: https://archive.org/stream/rigolet...

Re: [ITALIAN] [DRAMA] Giuseppe Verdi's librettos
Mmh... Those are references, books that the author consulted to write the collection. You are right, maybe that's not PD. It's better not to risk. I'll keep on searching. :) Maybe I can use this one as a guide and look for PD editions of the single librettos. :) And, yes, I can understand the proble...

[ITALIAN] [DRAMA] Giuseppe Verdi's librettos
I'd like to suggest a dramatic reading (not singing) of the opera librettos by Giuseppe Verdi, maybe the greatest and most famous Italian opera composer. I know that BCing this kind of works can be really tricky, so I'd like someone more experienced to do this. I'd like to read something, btw. :) I'...

Re: [ITALIAN] Clelia: il governo dei preti by Giuseppe Garib
Yes, that's the work I was talking about :) I've read some short poems in the collection for the 9th anniversary of LV, and I'm BCing a solo project about short poetry. Now I'd like to try also some prose and I found this work that seems perfect: there are a lot of chapters (76!) but they are quite ...

[ITALIAN] Clelia: il governo dei preti by Giuseppe Garibaldi
I'd like to read, in a solo or collaborative project, the first novel by Giuseppe Garibaldi, "Clelia: il governo dei preti", written in Italian and published in 1870. I've already found the text on Gutenberg, so we don't have problems about PD. It's a novel written mostly because Garibaldi...

Re: I need help with Latin please!
Hi tovarisch, thank you for your answer. I think that I'll record in all of them, even if I'm not used to those pronunciations and it will require more effort. Unfortunately your second alternative is not possible with Latin, because rhyme was not so common as today in Latin poetry...

Re: I need help with Latin please!
Hi, I need to read some poems in Latin and I have a doubt. I don't need help with the pronunciation, because I study Latin at school, but my doubt is about WHICH pronunciation to use. I'm Italian and at school I've learned the "Church" pronunciation, that's the more common here, but I know...

Yes, I'd love to read them both The only thing that I need is the metric form of the Carmina. It seems quite difficult to find out with a simple Google search .-. Does anybody have some information about that? Thanks

Re: ~[MULTILINGUAL] LibriVox 9th Anniversary Collection -Rut
I'd like to suggest Carmen 95 by Catullus, in Latin. The number nine is in the first line: "novem". It's a celebration of the poetical work called Zmyrna, by Catullus' friend Cinna, finally published after nine winters and nine summers of work. It seems that there is also a sort of link wi...
