Peter , I love your reading of that chapter. This is such a fun book! [Peter, I wish your recording could come in a tad louder. Looking at your waveform, it's on the fainter end of the spectrum for sure and I have my system up high to make you just audible when I'm not on headphones.] Beautifully r...

Oh, Eric Jean -- I just spotted your question about how soon do we want this. Well, our target is end of August, trying to get catalogued by then. So if this chapter is read and posted by the 25th, we'll have time for proof-listeners. That's good, yes? Anita who simply doesn't rush people Thak you ...

I don't feel I really have much to contribute (I sort of know just enough to actually generate the mp3 file in it's rawest and purest form) but I think this would be a FANTASTIC feature! I'm sort of interested on the quality of my recordings but with the minimum amount of effort possible... If I DO ...

I've been away from life for a little while so I haven't been around, but I happen to have recorded a 12 minute-long poem about a week ago, that I was going to slide into a short poetry collection but didn't get around to. And then, wouldn't you know! This even COOLER project came along... so bingo!...

I agree - there were 1 or 2 spots (I think) where there were serious typos or erros, but for the most [art, it's just the idiosyncracies of his writing style + the time. (or, rather, the transloator's .)

on a side note: I recorded a podcast about ROTN back in august 2005... I can't remember what I talk about, but any who find this book interesting might like the show. (Much to my shame, I haven't recorded shows - or updated my blog, for that matter, in a while... though now that I have a new mic and...

Yes, Eric, I share your enthusiasm. That's why I picked this as my first project to coordinate. :) Hardy is so adept with imagery, always simple, yet striking and unique. When we studied rotn, we treated the Heath as a character, not a setting. I agree - Dickens is... well... a high Victorian reali...

This book is GREAT! I love it! I'm already on several lists for chapters/sections as it is, but I'll be watching the thread and if I think I can free up enough time to read even just one chapter - I'm your man! I particularly like the description of Clym - described in terms of classical Greek perio...
