Re: Audio books to improve English language ability

Thank you for your suggestions, I will pass these on and give more feedback later.

A good way to learn also, is reading books or sections of books, and recording them.

Audio books to improve English language ability

I have a close friend who wants to learn English better, and audio books as we know can be a big help.
I looked for teenage books but didn't find any, can anyone suggest some for her to listen to?

I only attempted 29 because I was on holiday. I'm really sorry and would like to give more time, but I don't have more time at the moment

Re: [beer] The Theory and Practice of Brewing by M. Combrune -ck

Uploaded after changes - I was using the text section number.
Now changed to 29, not 13!
Noise improved and amplified.
New length of file is 25:25

Please remove the 'section 13' one I uploaded!

OK, now it is just over 86dB and is noise reduced, I'm about to upload it now.

I tried making changes but the noise reduction and the amplification, it would only fail.
I don't know how to make the changes work. I'm using the latest version of Audacity.

OK I'll do that tomorrow.
The Checker found no fault with the volume when I tried.

Re: [beer] The Theory and Practice of Brewing by M. Combrune -ck

Would you be able to indicate on a scanned image of a table, what should be read? I am wondering if column headings should be read each time, or is there a simpler method?

I would like to read:

29 Of the Incidents, which cause the Heat of the Extract to vary from the Calculation, the allowances they require, and the means to obviate their effects

Thank you to the reader of The Chemical History of a Candle, by Michael Faraday. I'm sorry, I'm not able to spell your name!

Very well read and spoken, I will recommend to others.

All of Availle's recordings!
