Re: ~SOLO [PORTUGUESE] O Mulato, by Aluísio Azevedo - kit

Sorry, but I don't fully grasp what you mean about the disclaimer. Is that that I need to have someone to PL my recordings? :hmm: no I meant the Portuguese version of intro and outro, which I wrote a few posts above: https://forum.librivox.org/viewtopic.php?p=1440902#p1440902 in your first ...

PL ok . Jetzt geht's so langsam in the Endspurt. Ich habe das Gefühl, das...

Section 52 ready for review. https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory_volume01_052_tappan_128kb.mp3 (3:31) ah a new section, thank you :) I like the way you so solemnly start Corvino's narrative. Really sounds like you are in character. Nicely read too, but could you please correct th...

crosspost with Monika  but I agree, it sounds really accurate and with the needed languishing voice one would expect in such a moment ;) I bet she was sighing when she said it.

Re: FULL[PLAY]The Cabinet Minister by Pinero - thw

And a draft of section 1 is now completed (except for Colin and the cast list) you're right, I forgot about the cast list. And indeed, Colin is in the first act as well...I based myself on the MW, and the section for Colin Act 1 is missing for some reason. :hmm: I screamed prematurely ...

Re: ~SOLO [PORTUGUESE] O Mulato, by Aluísio Azevedo - kit

I don't even know exactly how to start, but I'll do the obvious: to read! LOL yes that seems to be an important point in the process. But you may also familiarize yourself with the MW and fill that in already. Also you did not answer my question, are you ok with the Portuguese disclaimer ? Then we ...

Re: Pronunciation help: all languages

all right here it is: https://librivox.org/uploads/xx-nonproject/longueurs.mp3 I first spoke very slowly so you get all the syllables, and then faster the way people normally speak, so it will sound natural. Notice the "liaison": that's important to sound really French. The 's' of "mais" is carried ...

Re: Pronunciation help: all languages

Perhaps. That's how it was spelled at Gutenberg. I just copied and pasted. "There are lengths" doesn't make much sense to me, but here is the larger context, if it helps. 'Don't you think it was a very pretty sight?' I said at last. 'Yes,' she answered doubtfully; and then she added with genuine fe...

I need to know how to say this phrase: "Mais il y a des longuers."
do you mean "longueurs" ? (one 'u' more after the 'e')

I can make you a soundfile if you wish. Just confirming the word. It would mean "there are lengths".

Re: ~SOLO [PORTUGUESE] O Mulato, by Aluísio Azevedo - kit

All right you have your MW. I already filled out the first two sections... but noticed I probably should have written it in Portuguese. Capitulo ? :hmm: In any case, as soloist, you are your own BC (Book Coordinator) and in charge of the MW. So if you click on the link BC Admin underneath the MW you...

Re: SOLO [PORTUGUESE] O Mulato, by Aluísio Azevedo

Ah, Adriana, I see you are gearing up for your first solo. I can set up a MW for you. You omitted to tell me how many sections the book would have. Usually it's the number of chapters, but sometimes chapters are longer than 70 minutes and need to be split in two. From a quick perusal of the book, it...

All the roles are in and we are only waiting for the Narrator. I think we never had that scenario before

Re: [FULL:PLAY] The Devil is an Ass by Ben Jonson - thw

As for the reason for the earlier dizzying, as far as I know, I must have performed a quick export instead of "export selected." I had the track muted, but it still carried over. wait now I have a suspicion...did you have the two acts open in the SAME audacity window, the one above the other ? :hmm...

Re: [FULL] King Lear by William Shakespeare - kit

excellent portrayal of Lear  He seems already a bit of a dotard right from the start ;) And it won't get any better with time. I am looking forward to your portrayal of madness. It seems yours is not even played like Edgar's but real. Scene 1.4. is already PL ok For Scene 1.1. I have two notes...
