Re: audio test approval needed

thank you for the second test. It's mono now and the background noise is much better. but: the bitrate is still variable. :( You have to change that before you export (or rather while you export) to mp3. Didn't you find the "Options" button in the lower right corner ? :hmm: could you try on...

Re: Spotlight on non-English language recordings

You don't have anything in French yet, I think. The biggest novel we finished as group project this year was Le Rouge et le Noir: https://librivox.org/le-rouge-et-le-noir-by-stendhal/ A good book, very recommendable, also a classic of French literature. Here my short synopsis in French: Le célèbre r...

Here is 51--Louis eleven went to heaven! Non?: I don't know about you, but I really really disliked Louis XI in this section  he sounds so uncaring, especially in the scene with the prisoner. And I don't really see where he was praying LOL not a really fitting title, was it ? :hmm: Still: per...

Re: Full[PLAY]Every Man In His Humour by Jonson - thw

Here is Wellbred, Act III. Please let me know what tweaking it might need: nicely portrayed Jim, I love the sort of dry humour you're giving this character, and your deep voice is well fitting for that. Gives you an air of "taking life easy" a few parts are missing though: > at about 0:07...

 Sorry. Strange, those silences keep coming back; I swear I did cut it  yes it's sometimes strange, may have happened in the upload :hmm: that reminds me of another reader here, who has just the opposite problem. She swears she puts 5 seconds at the end, and after uploading they always d...

No need to rush :) You had to wait long enough, just do it when it is comfortable for you. thank you, well I just had a listen to them all, and the roles were all so excellently played. Each time different. I loved Abraham best, he is really ready to pick a fight. textually, nothing missing, ...

Chapter 1 is now PL ok . excellent patches, wouldn't hear a difference in sound. Chapter 2 is also very interesting again. Compliment on your French, nice accent, easy to understand. I have two small things to note (one probably optional): > at 46:46 : (p. 58) “to sweep away from ourselvey...

Re: 1-minute test

Aside from the occasional Amplification, will I be expected to apply other FX to my mix, like EQ and Compression? usually the less artifical enhancements, the better, I'd say. I never do anything else apart from amplification and a bit of noise cleaning. It needs to sound clear and understandable, ...

Re: 1 minute test

thank you, yes, this absolutely passes all criteria and the noise level is much better. As for the beginning silence, we recommend not to start too abruptly but rather to leave about 0.5-1 second (but not more or it might become awkward LOL). But you passed the test. Here's your OK and you ...

Re: Xanobius says hello/sagt Hallo
