Re: ~OPEN [PLAY] Sir Thomas More by Anthony Munday & others

Please forgive my recent non-responsiveness. My wife died unexpectedly not long before our 43rd anniversary. So, the world stopped turning for a while. I'm getting going again, step by painful step, and I hope to complete my assignments soon. Thanks for understanding.

Re: ~OPEN: Sir Thomas More by Anthony Munday and others - al

I spoke in a sing-song voice that cracked a lot. I thought it gave it some character -- but I don't want distortion for technical reasons. I have a sibilant S, which I filtered out with judicious use of the Low Pass Filter -- which may have made the clarity sound a little slushy in places. Let me tr...

Re: ~OPEN: Sir Thomas More by Anthony Munday and others - al

Hi! http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/al/sirthomasmore_prologue__4.1.mp3 I really enjoyed doing this one. No Brazilian Portuguese. Also, it's not often that I get introduced by a trumpet fanfare. But, Hey, it's in the script ... so I put it in the recording. Please let me know if the recordin...

Re: ~OPEN: Sir Thomas More by Anthony Munday and others - al

Greetings! I believe I worked with you a while back on Verne’s “Eight Hundred Leagues on the Amazon”. I did 19-1, “Ancient History”. I would be delighted to read the P rologue in 4.1 of “Sir Thomas More”. Also, if it’s P ermissible, I could do the few lines for George Bett. If I may only do one or t...

File Size

Ugh !
At 128kps, my 12-minute MP3 is too large (11Mb) to be uploaded to my website -- so says my server. It does seem rather large.
What did I do wrong?

Section 19

Hi Scott ~ I'm not at all pleased with the quality of the recording that I'm making. Here are two 30-second test MP3 files: 1 -- no attempt at noise reduction http://www.DrSpeedbump.com/LibriVox/LibriTest803RAW.mp3 2 -- the best I've been able to to with all sorts of Audacious manipulation. http://w...

128kbps

Preferences are already set at 44100kHz & 32-bit float.
Still, MP3 is produced at only 16kbps. It's a puzzlement.
Maybe my Lame is lame.
Lamenting,

audacity

Please tell me how to set Audacity to record at 128kbps.
My test MP3 files are coming out 16kbps and it sounds like I'm talking in a sewer pipe. Thanks !
