Re: A Historical Timeline of LibriVox and such (draft)

I became an admin in January 2013. The new catalogue system was being established but was not finalized. I was reluctant to learn the old system, knowing it was to be deleted so I waited until the new system was in place before MCing my first project. That was August 2013. The first post in the adm...

Re: Catalogue and forum name change...

If you want to change your email address, please let me do it. Email me at librivox [dot] forum [at] gmail [dot] com

Changing your own email address will de-activate your account. No one knows why, but that's what happens!

Re: A Historical Timeline of LibriVox and such (draft)

Amazing!! How lovely to see it all laid out like that, and be reminded of the milestones and of the voices who aren't with us anymore, some deceased and some moved on to other things. It was so much fun in the early days when I knew every voice and every project. I tried adding comments to your doc ...

Re: [FULL] World's Story 2: India, Persia, Mesopotamia, Palestine - kit

I only have one tiny note for the title: > at 0:11 : could you also please give the time, as mentioned after the title: “How the Persians built a house (about 1885) by S.G.W. Benjamin”. It's nice to know the historical context of a chapter. Oops! Sorry I missed that. All fixed: https://librivox.org...

Re: [FULL] World's Story 2: India, Persia, Mesopotamia, Palestine - kit

Here's section 79: https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory_volume02_079_tappan_128kb.mp3 -- 3:21 I recorded this for the April Adventure challenge, because I rarely if ever read Eastern history. I'm glad I did! Short, sweet, and interesting. :) Also, this is my first recording after 2 months o...

Re: An April Adventure! (participants: 5, successes: 0)

I've just claimed a tiny chapter in Kitty's "World's Story 2: India, Persia, Mesopotamia, Palestine" 79 How the Persians build a house, by S. G. W. Benjamin It was hard to think of a genre I haven't dipped into, but when I saw this, I realized that I've read a ton of Western history but possibly no ...

Re: World's Story 2: India, Persia, Mesopotamia, Palestine - kit

Hi Kitty,

May I please claim
79 How the Persians build a house, by S. G. W. Benjamin

I've read a lot of Western history, but maybe no Eastern, so this is my choice for the April Adventure :)

Thank you!

Re: Formatting of Post (new forum :()

I don't know if this is even remotely helpful, but I googled "convert MS Word formatting to BBCode" and this was the first result:

https://www.easywdw.com/forums/showthread.php?30256-Convert-Word-to-BBCode

Another one suggested using a .doc-to-HTML converter, and then an HTML-to-BBCode converter.
