“Sonia (really very nice, honestly)”

Of course. :D

We only kid her because she’s sweet, and such a good sport.

Re: Music - What are you listening to?

I don't know why ... and it's the weirdest thing ... but I've had John Denver as an earworm for weeks now.” When I was a little kid, a cousin of sorts of mine had a one-song repertoire .. “Leavin’ On A Jet Plane”. She actually played it (guitar) and sang it really well, but that was as far as her s...

I'm screaming so that Todd is hearing me from the pirate cabin

Sonia
Todd, if Killer Kitty still wants a different nickname, I suggest “Sweet Terror”.

“Was it only one eye that they had? Or one hand? Or maybe it was only one leg or one tooth...”

That two-legged, two-armed Red Joe is such a rookie.

Yes, enough of that freaky Luxembourg absinthe that “Psychodelic Psonia” has been passing around the troupe of late.

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Wappin' Wharf by Charles S. Brooks - thw

“Only one part left, mateys! Let's shanghai someone to fill this pirate project up!”. Hmm, I hear that a certain Luxembourg Lady known to Sonia is quite an artillery afficionado, and fully conversant with Cannon Law. You might like to try and curry favour with her, Todd, but beware! Curry is a spic...

“DO NOT SING!”

Are you trying to hint something, Todd?

Well, there goes the “Birds Eye Fish Fingers” commercial spot.

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Wappin' Wharf by Charles S. Brooks - thw

So let me start by asking Chris: if there is a love-triangle here involving Duke, is he is going to get "kilt" in this play too? Hey, you wear plaid, you get checked out. I'd like a show of hands, please. How many of you are EVER going to let Kitty forget that she has said that she is the "Dashing ...

Re: Don't you hate...

It's not a "pirate play", it's the latest workshop in our group therapy.

Re: Don't you hate...

The solution to a naughty cat is to work him/her into a Librivox podcast.

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Wappin' Wharf by Charles S. Brooks - thw

Reading through the play, I see that there seems to be a love-triangle involving Duke, Darlin', and Betsy.

Darlin's grog-brewing skills seem to have attracted Duke; Betsy doesn't seem to have any, but that does not appear to matter.

Perhaps it's her Beaujolais that Duke is after?

I'd like to claim the role of Duke please Todd.

Guess I get to spend this play legless.

Cheers,
Chris

P.S. BTW, "Clovelly" is stressed on the penultimate syllable, not the first ... thus "Cluh-VELL-ee".

Re: FULL[PLAY]The Cabinet Minister by Pinero - thw

It sounds as though these ignorant wee Sassenachs are casting aspersions on Joe Lebanon’s kilt. Question: “What is worn under the kilt?” Answer: “Nothing is worn; it’s all in perfect working order.” “We ALL have a problem with Mr Lebanon. (apart from Mrs Gaylustre, for obvious reasons )” I wasn’t pa...

Charley’s Aunt is in Gutenberg Australia: http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks13/1300571.txt

This is the synopsis: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charley%27s_Aunt

It seems to be the 19th Century equivalent of a Carry On Movie.

Hobby? Bushwalking !

(That's "hiking" to other folks)

Here's two clips from the Blue Mountains, a couple of hours drive to the west of Sydney.
