Re: ~[FULL:PLAY] Rollo's Wild Oat by Clare Kummer - thw

TO ALL: By the way, since I'm having so much fun with this play, I've decided to do another Clare Kummer comedy next: Be Calm, Camilla! It's another showbiz farce about a small-town girl who moves to the big city and aspires to be a concert pianist (but has to make due with her low-paying job as a ...

Re: [OPEN][DR]Dave Brings Home A Wife, by Steele Rudd-kit

Excellent rendition, Linda! Speaking on the matter of dogs and daughters sharing the same name, there’s another Dad Rudd exchange where a young man has come to ask Dad for the hand of one of his daughters in marriage. But there’s been confusion, and Dad thinks the young man has come to buy a champio...

Re: FULL[PLAY]Wappin' Wharf by Charles S. Brooks - thw

Sorry, Todd, it was all go at Chez Chris when I got home this evening. No opportunity for some quiet time to record in. I hope to get a brief recording window tomorrow evening to put some more piratical snarling down on “tape”. And to think I do it all without anabolic steroids. Cheers, Ch...

Re: FULL[PLAY]Wappin' Wharf by Charles S. Brooks - thw

 sorry, Duke, but you needed 22 minutes to NOT get the girl in the end. What's there to learn ? So the Duke is playing drummer to King Lead Vocalist. Quite a few of the groupies prefer the drummer. Actually, Betsy is obviously the smoothest of this bunch. “The girls I like the ...

I trust all the young fellers have pencil and paper ready. Watch and learn, lads, watch and learn... By the way, h...

Act I, Scene 1 is PL OK... but Scene 2 seems to be missing.”

Re: [OPEN][DR]Dave Brings Home A Wife, by Steele Rudd-kit

No, I just moved the sections into the MW, and had a listen to the voice characterisation. I haven't PLed it.

Since Lily knew her Mum would be PLing her, I suspect she maintained correct posture throughout, and probably dusted and vacuumed the recording studio first.

I am so stealing this sentence! It has a touch of class that you just don't get when you "throw your hat in the ring", as is my want.

Here's Mrs White. Hell hath no fury like a mother scorned, as the saying goes  I gave it my all, Chris, I hope that is what you had in mind. Dad Rudd better go into hiding. I think there was never a mother so enraged since Grendel's mom. 1) preparing the battlefield: https:...

Re: [OPEN/GOTHIC PLAY] Adelgitha; or, The Fruits of a Single Error by Matthew Lewis-kit

Since Duke proved unable to swoon dames under the age of 80, I think I’d better leave the romantic leading roles to the more suave. Rainulf seems more like a tough cop, so I’ll put my hand up for that role if I may. “Come out, Julian, we have you girt!” (I was going to say “surrounded”, but hey, it’...
