Re: PD release party!

Let me know if you decide to go ahead with this podcast, and Bachelor #1 and I will work up some sort of a routine.

Cheers,
Chris

P.S. Bachelor #1 wants to go with a transcendentalist schtick for what it’s worth.

Re: [OPEN][DR]Dave Brings Home A Wife, by Steele Rudd-kit

Hello hello! And here is the mammoth role of Barty, Chapter 10! I love me a good whiner... https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/davebringshomeawife_barty_10_128kb.mp3 Pete :D Excellent, Pete! Kitty will be along presently to PL, but I had a listen myself first, and Barty is perfectly characterised. Y...

Re: Knitting! (and other needle arts...)

I heard that a textiles mill recently dumped a lot of incorrectly dyed wool on the open market.

I trust none of their off-colour yarns will start showing here up at Librivox.

Hi Sonia, (of course I remember you!) Yes, indeed, I found the drama forum :-) There are several manics living inside me that need to get out lol. Thanks for the heads-up re finding what's open. You've mentioned Chris a couple of times now. Is he involved in this project and if so, what's his user ...

Betcha Sandra starts referring to me by that name. “Hello, About-Eight-Cents...”.  console yourself with the fact that 8 cents back then are probably worth more nowadays...you may get called "About-two-dollars-and-a-half" Hmm, so purchase-wise, I would rank somewhere between mo...

Actually, speaking for myself, I think the explanation of what modern sum each of the philosophers is fetching adds to the comedy.

Betcha Sandra starts referring to me by that name.

“Hello, About-Eight-Cents...”.

for some reason my guy voices are always more reserved, suave, and debonair... (I wonder why that is... :hmm: ).
Is there a vodka martini shaken not stirred involved?

And over the same period, your voice, as well as Elijah's, will probably lift slightly.
I’m relying on it!

These Ladies-Of-A-Certain-Age detectives always have a colonial gardener of obscure origins as a dramatic foil.

I pride myself on my obscurity! ;)

A fellow Sydneysider, yay! Don’t worry about pronunciation. The super-helpful PLs (proof-listeners) are always available to help if you’re not sure about anything. Perhaps, when you’re ready, consider dropping by the Dramatic Works forum and taking on a role in a play? Cheers, Chris (“Son of the Exi...

My change is mostly around the sound quality 8-) though my voice has deepened a little over the last 11 years.
Cori, at that rate of voice change (hereinafter designated "delta-V"), do you think we might expect a Marlene Dietrich contralto anytime soon?

Re: New Genre: Science Fiction

Science Fiction versus Science Fantasy depends on how “hard science” the fiction is. “The Martian” was very good in terms of this, with the exception of the strength of the wind in the opening establishing scene (despite the planet-wide dust-storms, the strongest wind Mars’ atmosphere could raise wo...

The very night that the frogs outside the back-door pipe down for once, and you think you can get a recording session in ... and the cicada hatch kicks in.

A little factoid.

Helen Mirren played the role of Margery Pinchwife in the BBC production of this play in 1977.
