Re: FULL[PLAY]The Big Drum by Arthur Wing Pinero - thw

You know, if we ever leverage Librivox into Librivision, I’ve got a sponsor lined up.

The Highland Whiskey Distillers Ltd.

All they want is an acknowledgment in the closing credits for the special visual effects.

Re: OPEN[PLAYS]One Act Play Collection 013 - thw

I can't resist the opportunity to give Chris hell. Sonia It’s a career move. I can’t help thinking that the non-speaking role of the hulking Welshman ‘Bongo’ Williams who comes in at the end and runs Chopsey out of Katie’s place will be supplied in spirit by Todd. He’s just got back from the beach ...

Here's 'Chopsey' Ryan, the Luuurve Doctor, having been kicked out by Katie in favour of 'Bongo' Williams.

Katie seems to have a thing for big Welshmen. Must be a Tom Jones fan.

Actually, Todd, if you don’t want to take on the title role of Chopsey, I’ll take that one myself rather than Smith the Liar if that’s okay.

A Change of Weather...

It’s dawn in Sydney as I go into work and there’s thunderstorms brewing to the west.

Then floods they put the bushfires out
The wind blew half the place away
Just another day on our Selection...”

Re: Play Suggestions

This 1907 farce, "The Private Secretary" was a contemporary of "Charley's Aunt"; and it has a meek and put-upon clergyman. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Private_Secretary#/media/File:WSPenley-Spalding.jpg http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks13/1303861.txt Again referencing "Charley's Aunt", this 1875 ...

These voice-changing afflictions are liable to be serendipitous by-and-by. Come the day when Batman is PD, Todd will be expecting the full range of Catwomans from you, from Eartha Kitt through Lee Meriwether to Julie Newmar. I believe Sonia will be supplying the Michelle Pfeiffer version. Miaou, Chris

Re: OPEN[PLAYS]One Act Play Collection 013 - thw

When you say you found a new playwright for me, does this mean YOU want to run this play (including PL and edit - or finding folks to do that) or do you want ME to run the play? Either way, it looks good for this collection. Thanks, Todd I’m happy to play Frasier (talent) to your Roz (producer), To...

Re: OPEN[PLAYS]One Act Play Collection 013 - thw

I may have found a new Australian playwright for you, Todd. Louis Esson. You would be familiar with his work, as I believe you took part in a play of his ... "The Time is Not Yet Ripe" ... some years ago. This one-act play is called "The Woman Tamer". I see you in the titular role as "Chopsey" Ryan ...

Kitty has told me that when I speak French, she thinks of Maurice Chevalier.
 I never said that ! That must have been someone else ;)

Sonia

 is there such a thing as the Kitty wince test ?

Sonia
Kitty has told me that when I speak French, she thinks of Maurice Chevalier.

But it doesn’t help, she gags anyway.

At any rate, I will correct the errors in my bit tomorrow.

How bohemian! How fin de siècle!

I’d like to play the Music Master, though I’m not entirely sure which are all of his lines.

Re: FULL[PLAY]The Big Drum by Arthur Wing Pinero - thw

Dunning's dialogue didn't show any sign phonetically of a dialect or common-as-muck accent, so he's delivered here as well-spoken.
