Another little program
I know your question has been answered, but I thought I'd offer yet another handy program. I use this for editing foreign language lessons. http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html It's called MP3 Direct Cut. It's not fancy, but it's very easy to use. You can join clips, cut sections, etc. I think it only e...

I grew up on the old Frankenstein movies, and by comparison the Di Nero version was about as faithful to a book as Hollywood ever gets. Sometimes the Hollywood version is quite good, even though they've changed it. Forrest Gump is an example. They completely re-wrote the book, and if you can deal wi...

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
Could someone please download this audiobook so I can see whether this works? I created a short-story audiobook with a text2speech program and seeded it in bittorrent. I've never created a torrent before, so I want to see if you guys can download it from me. Let me know. http://www.dontforward.com/F...

Robert De Niro as Frankenstein's monster
I recently listened to the Librivox recording of Frankenstein, and decided to watch Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (the Hollywood version). I put it on my Netflix queue, and it arrived today. I have to say, I'm glad I didn't watch the movie before reading the book. It's so much different than the tradi...

I had to laugh
You made my day. When I was a teenager, I used to say "Greetings and salutations" to just about everybody I met. They were the first words I ever spoke to my wife, nearly 28 years ago, and she has never forgotten.

This is really cool!
First, you MUST listen with stereo headphones. Without headphones, it's just a silly audio file. The 3D effect is really cool. I had to look around, even though I knew I was alone in the room. I figure you audioheads probably have headphones, so give it a try. http://www.holophonic.ch/archivio/testa...

I'm listening to Treasure Island
I've posted here a few times, but I haven't been able to listen to one of your books yet. For the past week or so I've been slogging through a computer voice version of a very long novel. Shorter books are okay for computer voices, but the long ones really should be human read. Anyway, I started lis...
