Thanks, Bruce. Yes, I love that phraseology. BTW, I'm recording the whole book as a solo, and the editor mentions that Longfellow tinkered with his poems, changing words and lines over time. In that book, your lines are used and I agree they do change the meanings slightly. But I copied and pasted ...
