Thanks Librvox, from Bookmobile iPhone app developer.

I'm the developer of Bookmobile, an audiobook player app for the iPhone. Bookmobile makes it easy to find, download, bookmark, and listen to Librivox audio on your iPhone or iPad. I wanted to say thank you to the Librivox community by giving away 100 free copies of my app (Unlimited audiobooks and p...

Re: How do you get all versions on books app?

Hi, I've written an iPhone app that makes it very easy to find, download and listen to Librivox recordings. You can browse by genre, and search by title, author or reader. To search by reader, you need to know their ID (for example, 1234 for librivox.org/reader/1234) -- then just enter r:1234 in the...

Re: LibriVox API Discussion Thread

Thank you, Masa! I finally gave up on the official API, and used your JSON to populate my own MySQL database on my own hosted server. The latest version of my app (http://BookmobileApp.com) now has search and browse-by-genre once again. You can also search by reader ID if you know it (enter "re...

Re: [Submitting - On Hold]A few errors in the RSS feeds

Hi David, There's really no need to involve the iTunes servers at all. The RSS <itunes:image> element doesn't actually use the iTunes server. The image value always has an address to a location at archive.org. The RSS can/is just be served back from librivox.org. It would be really great to have thi...

Hi, my name is Duke Browning. I've written an iPhone app for listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and with the latest release I've incorporated a lot of features for making it easy to get, listen to, and manage Librivox audio. It's called Bookmobile, and can be found here: http://freshmowed.com/boo...

Re: Downloading to iPhone using Safari

Hi, I've written an iPhone app that makes getting, managing and listening to spoken-word audio (including Librivox) much easier. It's called Bookmobile and can be found here: http://freshmowed.com. With it, you can get a Librivox selection by just entering the RSS number (like just 6403 for http://l...

Re: LibriVox API Discussion Thread

I'm having a really hard time getting the new API to work (especially compared to the old API). Perhaps more examples on the API page (http://librivox.org/api/info) might help. Problems: Search by Genre returns a database error: ... <p>Error Number: 1064</p><p>You have an error in your SQL syntax; c...

Re: [In Progress]A few errors in the RSS feeds

It appears that the <itunes:image> element is no longer in the RSS. I found this to be true in every audiobook I tried. Here's an example: http://librivox.org/rss/3593 previously contained: <itunes:image href="http://www.archive.org/download/LibrivoxCdCoverArt9/Librivox_Short_Story_Collection_0...
