Re: New! Volunteer CD Covers! - cont.

Sorry to inconvenience you, but I hadn't noticed before that the cover for Human Nature and Conduct is blurry. I am hoping you can change out the 300 x 300 and the thumbnail for me. I haven't changed out the CD cover because in full size it doesn't appear blurry. Thanks. https://librivox.org/uploads...

Thank you, Bill. Sections 28 and 29 are PL OK.

Very interesting comments on despotism. So much to think about.

Re: [GROUP] A Key To Uncle Tom's Cabin, by Harriet Beecher Stowe - dc

And I haven't a clue what this means, Bill. Not even the language.
Я не знаю, что еще это может означать.

Re: [GROUP] A Key To Uncle Tom's Cabin, by Harriet Beecher Stowe - dc

I would like to claim chapter 41 "Slaves as they are, on Testimony of Owners" :) Hi there, GFulczyk, and welcome to the Keys project. I see you're brand new here, and have received an OK on your 1 minute test (which by the way is no longer in our system). I didn't see an introductory letter where I...

Re: [FORTNIGHTLY POEM] Through All The Years by J. W. Foley - dl

Thanks Bill and tovarisch. Both of your renditions are PL OK. And since you both seem to enjoy the occasional trick question, can you (or anyone joining in here) imagine another meaning of this line, besides the surreal picture of shafts of light piercing through the roof of an old building...

Re: [GROUP] A Key To Uncle Tom's Cabin, by Harriet Beecher Stowe - dc

I have a bad habit of pausing where there is no puncuation marks in the text. Anyway the new file has about 3 minutes less silence than the old Thanks, and don't feel bad. I have a bad habit of making a tick mark with my tongue before every in-breath. As much as I have tried to train myself not to ...

Re: [FORTNIGHTLY POEM] Through All The Years by J. W. Foley - dl

David, Scotty, Foon, Bruce, all your renditions are PL OK. I felt with every single one of them that you were talking with experience of same!!!!! Love it! AND, you all concur that Foley should rhyme with rolly polly , not with holly , or golly . So, it being my policy to record my attempt before li...

Michele, please let me know if I somehow messed up on the quotes; I've reviewed carefully, but ... *shrug* ... I alwayyyys do even to find that *MAN!* *Laugh* Spot PL Notes Section 40 Intro at :22 says Chapter 3.8. (Delete 3. should just say Chapter 8) Still no "end quote" of the article at 7:03--(...

Re: [GROUP] A Key To Uncle Tom's Cabin, by Harriet Beecher Stowe - dc

MsFry, Your surmise is correct. Recorded first with an old mic, emended with another. I feel bad about the glaring differences of the patched places. For micro-seconds at a time, I consider re-recording everything with the new mic. Rather than re-record, I could share my tips on how to feather in a...

Re: [GROUP] A Key To Uncle Tom's Cabin, by Harriet Beecher Stowe - dc

PL Notes Section 27 30:04 I apprehend , I hear I prehend. (which I thought at first must mean "I pretend", which didn't make sense. Stranger than fiction, indeed! Horror fiction. I know you just got a new mike, Bill. Did you record with one mike, and make corrections with another? I ask because the ...
