Re: Re-using recordings / catalog search

Here are my thoughts based on what I've been hearing . . . Numbers? Competition? That thought never crossed my mind!!!!! And since I've only been around 5 years to other members' 10 or 12 and I tend to record long chapters, there is absolutely no way I can ever catch up. Good thing I don't care abou...

Re: Re-using recordings in more than one project

I see two issues here: #1 Re-using recordings in more than one project, which has merit if not carried to the point of absurdity. #2 Making more of our titles searchable than is currently being done, not a re-using issue, and not requiring additional programming. Let me focus on #2 for now. We alrea...

Re-using recordings / catalog search

Just to make this clear: We do not allow the same recording to be used in more than one project. I've always wondered about that. It seems to me that one piece could fit in someplace else just as well. Like for example when a collection of O'Henry or Dunsany short stories is posted, none of those s...

15 is PL OK, and those are fine edits, Betsy. And you did a fine reading of that poem! As to snipping out words, the key is to zoom in real close where only 3 or 4 waves are showing, then drag your curser fore and aft where you think it should go, then use your C key, which lets you hear the segment...

Chapter 46 is PL OK. Another good one. I had never heard the parable of Balaam's Ass. Took me awhile to figure it was Brann's denunciation of seers and fortune tellers.

Steven, I am listening to the Spanish period right now, and you are doing a fantastic job.
Got interested because I am reading James Michner’s TEXAS, also fascinating.

I am also designing your cover so I needed to know what it is about. Great going!

Here's an interesting gem buried in Brann The Iconoclast Volume 1. Tien ta foi Author: William Cowper Brann Text: https://archive.org/details/completeworksofb01branuoft/page/104 I never could find a good translation of the title. Something like "keep your time", or "Here is your time". https://libri...

Re: [GROUP]The Complete Works of Brann, the Iconoclast, Volume 1 - lt

Hi Michele - Thanks for this quick PL and feedback. I'll make these fixes. Hopefully without having to re-record all of it. But if necessary, I'll do that. Betsy No please don't re-record. If you can't do these little edits, just leave them be, or let me fix them up for you in a jiffy. And I like t...

I am preclaiming the cover for 13923, The Golden Day
Here is my preclaim for A Golden Day, on March 31st. I was about to upload my cover this morning when I noticed a different cover already there. With apologies to the other designer, I would like my claim to be honored.

Re: [GROUP]The Complete Works of Brann, the Iconoclast, Volume 1 - lt

PL Notes Chapter 15 Hi Betsy, I didn't know Brann was a poet, and a pretty good poet at that. Being as poems use concentrated speech, rhyme and cadence for their effect, standards for PL'ing go up a bit. Here are the discrepancies I noted: 1:40 From Eternal God's high dwelling-place, high is missing...
