Glad you enjoyed it, golob!

It's been a while now since I've recording something for Librivox. Perhaps it's time to dig out the microphone again!

If you haven't already, make sure you check out "Captain Blood" and the "Sea Hawk", also by Sabatini.

Re: Tam O'Shanter

That's okay Ester... there seems to always be someone or something around the corner ready to bust my balloon... :D I was prompted to search out a couple of his other recordings and found the real Gordon Mackenzie, probably from the northern regions of the US. Still, a pleasant voice. Thanks for se...

"Pronounce" - a Handy Firefox extension

"Pronounce" is a handy little Firefox extension that Librivox readers might find useful: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1689 With the extension installed, highlight a word on any web page, right click, and choose "Pronounce" from the context menu. The Pronounce add-on will look up th...

Ward, Thank you so much for your kind words! It is so gratifying to hear that you enjoyed the recordings, and more, that you have shared them with others! Leaves of Grass was a special project for me. Whitman's work seems meant to be spoken aloud, and takes on a life of its own. I hope you'll go on ...

Warlord of Mars is a direct sequel to the Gods of Mars. The next book in the series (Thuvia, Maid of Mars) shifts focus to the children of John Carter and Dejah Thoris.

The first three books were written within about a year of each other and could be considered a trilogy within the larger series.

Cloud Mountain seemed to be saying that iTunes will already do the conversion for you ... as I say, however, I've never used itunes, and don't own an iPod ... so I'm definitely not an expert!

Passamaquoddy Folklore Looks like FUN! Esther :D Wait, does this mean that Pete's Dragon was set in Canada? I never knew!! Wikipedia: Passamaquoddy is the name of a fictional, turn-of-the-century, seaside fishing village in Maine, presumably near Passamaquoddy Bay, in the Disney movie Pete's Dragon.
