Hi Mary, Here are my PL notes for section 49. There are only six and most should be easily fixed. If there is any editing you're not sure how to accomplish, there is probably an excellent video already made by Phil we can point you to. 1) The track overall is registering at 95.3 dB (decibe...

Re: [HUMOR] On A Donkey's Hurricane Deck, by Woodward-iq
Ah, so. I just consulted a dictionary and I see what happened. There are two accepted pronunciations for "fete." I only knew the one which is not a homonym with "fate," but one which is a homonym with "fate" is listed first. (Generally this means it is the more common p...

Sections 45 and 47 are both PL OK. One tiny note for section 46. At 2:28, the text says "there I met my fete" but the reader says "there I met my fate." Can the line be re-recorded to reflect the fact that the narrator met with a huge party instead of with his doom? ;-)

Re: I would appreciate some advice...really
Hi Bdoon, Do you mean some trick to searching for books in our LibriVox catalogue, or a trick to searching for books in general? If you want help looking for books in general when you know the subject you are interested in, but not any specific author or title, there is no better technique than brow...

Hello and welcome, Beth! I saw that you put your email address in your signature line. You might opt to take out the @ symbol, to make it a little harder for bots to harvest your email address. ;-) Are you planning on reading and proof-listening? If you plan to read, your next step is to submit a 1-...

Re: [HUMOR] The College Freshman's Don't Book by G. F. Evans
Hi Greg! Lovely reading - some of your inflections in this humorous piece crack me up. Here are my PL notes for section 3 1) Checker says the volume is at 85.8 dB. The recording is very clean-sounding, so we might not want to risk jeopardizing that by raising the volume to 89 dB, so let's try for 87...
