Re: Copyright Issues - Can I Narrate This Book?
Dave,
The two posts, above your last post, are from Librivox Admin, Tricia and Jo (look at their title, below their names- right side of each posted thread). I don't intend this reply to sound snarky, just wanted to let you know that you are already interacting with Admin.

Re: Zoom calls hijacking your microphone?
You can log in to your Zoom, without launching a call, and make the adjustments. It will keep the config.

Re: Zoom calls hijacking your microphone?
Devorah, By default, Zoom has the Automatic Gain Control toggled 'On'. I suspect you are running your recording rig, for the mic-input and headphones-output, in Zoom. I do the same. I went into the Zoom "Audio" properties and toggled the AGC to 'Off' , and manually set my mic level. I have...

Re: Line noise filter
I am also (duh!) moving my power bar that has lots of outlets from UNDER the dbx interface. Phil, Another noise-battle I had to eliminate was the transformer hum, from my video monitor. It amazed me how much “other” noise my mic recorded, after I got a properly, acoustically-treated recording envir...

Re: Crazy idea 4435 - Telephoning into a Website recording application
The Audacity problem could possibly be solved by using a more professional up to date DAW (Editor), such as Reaper or similar. There are also free ones which may or may not be up to date (i.e. 64bit). Just a thought ... Lurcher, Although I am a die-hard Reaper user, I played with a freebie called O...

Re: Crazy idea 4435 - Telephoning into a Website recording application
The webinar program ZOOM can record the webinar call, and generates an MP4(video) and m4a(audio only) file, for download. The recorded audio will only be as good as the input device. My recorded web-calls are much different when using a phone or laptop mic, as opposed to my EV RE20 and recording sys...

Re: volume not high enough
Any suggestions? I have checked all volume settings - they are at max - gain is at 3/4 on my interface still no change You said that you had the gain turned up on your interface. Assuming you have a mic that connects via XLR cable, and the mic is a condensor mic, did you turn the 48v Phantom Power ...
