Dear Carolin, just wanted to let you know that the last month has been unexpectedly busy, but I'm still working on my section.

Re: grp/fiction Tommy and Grizel by J. M. Barrie - lt
I'd like to take Section 1. However, I have a couple of questions. 1. It says that Tommy has a Scottish accent. I'm not sure I can do that, or at least not consistently! Would it be okay if I read with my normal, flat midwestern American voice? 2. How does one pronounce Grizel? To rhyme with "g...

Re: [HUMOUR] Pastiche and Prejudice by AB Walkley -ck
I already did some noise reduction before submitting this, so I'd rather leave it as-is if that's okay!JorWat wrote: I couldn't find anything that needed correcting. However, running it through Checker produced a fail because of the level of noise.
Thanks,
Katherine

I am happy to pick up some of the short singing parts:
41 - Singing Falsetto (ch 13)
62 - Katia (ch 37)
and I'll also do the woman with the deep bass voice
43 - Woman (ch 13)

Here is the link to Chapter 4 - Sir Roger At the Russian Ballet
https://librivox.org/uploads/carolin/pasticheandprejudice_04_walkley_128kb.mp3
Time is 7:04.
I messed with the amplification quite a bit. Let me know if it is too loud.

I would like to record Chapter 4, "Sir Roger ..."
I bit off too much for my last project (3 sections, each in excess of 6,000 words), so this looks like a lovely, SHORT assignment!

Re: [EPIST. FICT] Clarissa Harlowe Vol 6 by Samuel Richardso
I can take the part of the Widow in Chapter 6. A few questions: 1. There are portions where the Widow speaks as in a play - Widow: "Blah Blah Blah" but other portions where it seems that the narrator is retelling what the Widow say - "Then the widow exclaimed, 'Blah blah blah!'" ...

Hi, Tricia,
I added the formerly-missing pages to Section 12. The added pages start around 12 min 30 sec.
The total recording is now 39 min 06 sec in length.

Oh, yes! I can patch in the extra pages. I'm glad you found them - it's a rather jarring transition without them.

Here is Section 12: https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/criminalinvestigation2_12_gross_128kb.mp3 33 min 23 sec I added a note that there were two pages missing in the text. I also tried to described Figures 37 and 38, rather awkwardly! Let me know if these are okay. I will record Section 13 next w...

Here is Section 11. https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/criminalinvestigation2_11_gross_128kb.mp3 eta: recording is 21 min 52 sec long. I wasn't sure if this would need noise reduction. It also seems very loud to me, although Audacity said it was at 89 dB. Let me know what you think. Once you send ...

Re: [GRP] Criminal Investigation Vol 2 by Hans Gross - tg
I have a question about quotes and parentheses. As I'm reading, if the quote is obvious (i.e., He said, "Blah blah blah") then I'm not saying, "He said, quote, blah blah blah, close quote." However, there are a couple of times when the author includes a quotation without making i...
