Asking Students 2 Read for Assignment. Tips or Opinions
I received a message from KayRay (via one of my students Savannah Cottrell) regarding my desire to have the students in my Voice and Articulation class read for Librivox. My goals for this assignment require students to create an articulate, expressive reading for a single project. Their grade will ...

I'm a lot of trouble
I'll send you "undoctored" files for all three acts of Ivanov. That's easy to do in GB. I'll turn off the filter and save the mp3 files
Sorry you have to plow through so many versions. Eventually I'll get it all done right
G'night

Jacques Recordings -- THE WOMEN'S PRIZE
And here's Jacques -- the smart-mouthed servant. Aren't they the best kind? I'm sure I like SHREW better, but here's my efforts. Thanks for being so patient with me. Re: OPEN: Ivanov by Anton Chekhov - ek
One very small quibble: I'm not sure what your noise-cleaning routine is, but the silences in your file seem almost absolute, so that the mild background noise that's behind your voice while speaking cuts off abruptly between phrases. It's slightly distracting, because it breaks up the flow of your...

Lebedieff -- Acts 2, 3 and 4
Paul Lebedieff -- the woefully hen-pecked husband. No wonder he downs so much vodka! Please let me know of any changes you need me to make. This was a fun reading. I'd ALMOST like to produce the play myself. Act II http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ek/ivanov_lebedieff_2.mp3 time: 7:12 Act II...

Re: OPEN: Ivanov by Anton Chekhov - ek
Are we to read the stage directions that appear within our dialogue? "He crosses to the apgarden" or "pensively". That sort of thing?

I'll be glad to read either one.... Jaques and Rowland are the two that are left at this point. I hope you'll be interested in one of them. Let me know if you have any questions, okay?
Thanks for the opportunity!

Re: ~OPEN: The Woman's Prize by John Fletcher - ek
A guest director actually produced this play along with TAMING OF THE SHREW here at my school a few years ago. I was out of the country and didn't get to see the production. There seem to be very view productions of The Woman's Prize. I'd love to be involved in this reading. Is the role of Moroso av...

Re: OPEN: Ivanov by Anton Chekhov - ek
I love Chekhov's plays! I actually teach an acting class based on his work. I've never read Ivanov, so I'm excited about the prospect of being involved.
Is the role of PAUL LEBEDIEV still available?
What pronunciation for the last name did you settle on?
Cheers

FInally! #4 -- Mrs. Bathurst (part 1)
Here's my recording of part 1 of Mrs. Bathurst by Rudyard Kipling. http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/tg/moviesandhollywood001_04_thompson.mp3 Duration: 25:35 I'm sure this recording needs more work. There are probably technical flaws that I need to correct as well. Please give me your notes a...
