Re: ~[SOLO]The Elder&Younger Eddas-ans
Ok just so you know whats going on- I'm recording as much as I can, as fast as I can, before my husband is done harvesting Once he is at home more (and therefore louder, lol) I will start editing and uploading and we can search for a PL.

Thank you Annise. Theophilius, while I agree other translations may be more artistic, no translation is unworthy. It's fascinating to see how various scholars translated words, meanings, etc. it shows an evolution of an ancient work and it's relation to changing modern and contemporary societies. Th...

Re: [solo]The Elder&Younger Eddas/Sigfusson&Sturleso-arb
GLORY GLORY HALLELUJAH! I should begin recording again this weekend!! I had finally built my sound-dampening box when 1) my kindle broke and had to be replaced, frankly its amazing that it lasted as long as it did in my care and then 2) my microphone broke! Agh! Luckily I have a friend in a band, an...

Re: Concrete Recording Room
It is floor joints, its not flat. You are right that will probably help. I hadnt even thought of that. I think that I will try and create that micbox with styrofoam and maybe head to goodwill to purchase cheap blankets that I can staple to the ceiling. My husband will probably think that I'm trying ...

Oh my, that could work. I usually record standing but I could find something to put it on. I may have to make a trip to hardware store tonight to see what I can rig.

Concrete Recording Room
Hey everyone, Well, its just about farming season here in Nebraska so my husband will finally be out of my way to record. Unfortunately our computers are both in a large, unfinished basement downstairs. The drywall is in, so we have walls to dampen some sound, but its just a concrete floor and no ce...

Re: [solo]The Elder&Younger Eddas/Sigfusson&Sturleso-arb
Building went great, we're all moved in. I just started a new job, and have been trying to build a less echo-y corner in our unfinished basement for recording. My husband farms so he is home on the weekends now, but soon he'll be out of the way  and I can get this project finished! Thanks for ...

I just wanted to update everyone: I'm still about a month out from having reliable computer access and a quiet space to LV. I really thought this process would go quicker, but curve balls- life- etc. Hope to see everyone in January. If you need to pass the PL'ship on to someone else I completely und...
