That was very interesting - especially the reading group. Thanks for posting it!

Re: Any Gardeners Out There?
I have an excuse for putting off the garden work as it is raining today. :( I have been potting up my seedlings and feeling impatient! I don't know why I'm so extra keen this year, but I just have to wait to put things out or the frost will get 'em! I would love to have a few chickens in the yard......

Hi Tiffany! It's always nice to have a parent that gardens, because some day that knowledge may come in handy

Hi Bev!
I think a flower is like a piece of music, you don't have to know the name of it to enjoy it.

Re: Any Gardeners Out There?
Hi Cori :) I really feel for people whose gardens are infiltrated by cats, and I'm an animal lover and a cat owner! My garden is safe from all cats except my one outside cat (other two are inside cats) who ventures through the garden when the dogs aren't out. That is what saves my garden, the presen...

Re: Any Gardeners Out There?
Wow Ruth, you must have a beautiful garden! Do you have a greenhouse? I'd love to have one because it would increase my growing season. It gets pretty hot here in southern British Columbia at the height of summer, but I don't dare put out my toms and peppers till early June at least! I read about sa...

Any Gardeners Out There?
Hi all! RuthieG :) mentioned gardening in another post, and as I would like to post something lighter than I usually do, I thought I'd see how many people start dreaming of seeds in January, but are soaking sore backs by May!! I start tomato and pepper plants from seed, and this is my third year. On...

Re: Interview with an author and his reader
Ah...the eternal topic! I have come to the reasonable conclusion that people will do what they do, no matter what 'you' or 'I' think. What I am mulling over now, is why the lack of 'quality control' here continues to bother me. It comes back to my Grandfather saying that if you are going to do somet...

Re: Sherlock Series 3
I have to say that I am in a bit of "Sherlock withdrawal" now that the series is done!. I was dissapointed in the first episode. I thought they just threw too much at it and it was all over the place. PLUS they didn't really give a satisfying explanation to the "fall". I did like...

Praise for Lilith1966 (Tara Dow) via the 'Thank a reader' feature : Thank you, Tara, for your rivetting reading of "The Golden Calf" by Mary Elizabeth Braddon. You were a life-saver during several very uncomfortable nights when you enabled me to rest and lose myself in the life of your he...
