Re: [solo] The Tales of Mother Goose - philc

Something's not right. If you try to stream individual stories from

https://librivox.org/the-tales-of-mother-goose-by-charles-perrault/

you get a 'file not found' message.

Re: Short Story Collection Vol. 70 - lt

OK, here's my very first attempt at recording. I'd appreciate any constructive criticism you may have on both technical issues and narration style. Now's a good time for me to deal with any beginner errors! https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/shortstorycollectionvol070_poormanstale_mm_128kb.mp3 A Po...

Re: Hello from the UK

Spent about 6 months looking up reviews of similar 'inexpensive' (relative term) mics. This one seemed to come out well for neutralness, clarity, and suitability for speech. Will be interesting to see how it does.

Thanks for the welcome!

Re: Short Story Collection Vol. 70 - lt

Many thanks. Don't know why I didn't find the Gutenberg copy. Will have a go in the next few days.

A Poor Man's Tale of a Patent

Hi, new reader here. I've just completed my 1-minute test, and for my first shot at recording would like to try A Poor Man's Tale of a Patent by Charles Dickens. It's obviously in the public domain, but it's not on Gutenberg. If it's OK I'd propose to read from the text held at Dickens Journals Onli...

Hello from the UK

Hi everyone, very happy to be here. I've been listening and lurking for a long time, as you can see from my registration date! Been intending to volunteer to do some recordings for some time, and now I have a nice new microphone I can actually do it. I'm based in the UK, retired from a career as a p...

Hi The Links section of this page https://librivox.org/old-santeclaus-by-clement-clarke-moore/ link to the Wikipedia article on Clement Clarke Moore.
