Re: 'Thank you' messages for Librivox in general

I'd like to add my thanks to all the people who came together to make the audio recordings happen and to those who continued the project after I wandered off. I disagree with Macaulay on so many issues but he's still a delight to read and just wonderful fun. The essay on Clive is good. I remember cu...

42 Day

Greetings Librivoxers An ex Librivox reader here who kinda misses hanging around the Librivox forum and wishes he had more time to do so. Anyways I comes to beg the help of the Librivoxers to push an event called 42day. It's an incredibly nerdy celebration being launched this Sunday (29th August) as...

Greetings
I've completed chapter 14 and attempted to upload it to the Librivox uploader.
It seemed to upload fine but I didn't get a link at the end of it so I've put it on my own web space.
The link is http://historyzine.com/librivox/files/stgeorgeforengland_14_henty.mp3

I was just kidding, Jim. You'll pick something to record if you want (not from either of the two projects I nominated, I presume. Though I don't understand why you're quivering in terror at the possibility of recording in French. For Dutch, I could understand... But I'm sure Julie would tell us oth...

Hurrah!
Thankyou Ezwa and Julila.

Does anyone know whether the beginning of Cherasco is a ch sound or a k sound?

You are both quite wonderful.
And now to assuage my conscience.
Do either of you want to nominate a Librivox chapter for me to read or shall I pick one myself?

Regards

Jim

Dear Jim, A couple of the names you listed there have a Dutch alternative; I added them after the French pronunciation. I only picked the 'Flemish' names: Louvain (Leuven), Brabant, Senne (Zenne), Sheldt (Schelde), Courtrai (Kortrijk), Dendermonde, Deynse (Deinze). I could have a shot at the other ...

Greetings I return once more, cap in hand looking for some assistance, if I may. I'm close to releasing another episode of my podcast, Historyzine and wondered if anyone could help with a little Belgian, French and Italian pronunciation. These are the words I'm having difficulty with: Louvain Braban...
