Section 30 - Swedish Kings (time 2:18) https://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/worldstory_volume08_030_tappan_128kb.mp3 what an interesting concept that the king is elevated by the people and supported by them. Quite democratic in a way. If our kings were elevated by the people I am not sure if Prince C...

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Cynthia's Revels by Ben Jonson - thw

Child 1 https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/cynthiasrevels_child1_1.mp3 Of course this makes it entirely unlike the prologue voice. Perhaps I need to redo the prologue. yes this is a bit of a dilemma here. I had the idea maybe to give a short "clearing of the throat" before starting the prologue, t...

Child 1

This is a first offering. I have tried a squeaky voice. Let me know if this is ok.

I love the painting, wow, what a trip through the snow.
I imagine that it was cold enough to stop the body decomposing, hence the open hearse😷

Hesperus act 5

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/cynthiasrevels_hesperus_5.mp3

This file contains two versions, one recited and one sung. Todd may choose which to use. The tune of the sung version is improvised.

One of the few Christopher Marlowe's plays that has not received a reading is Dido Queen Of Carthage.
I would agree that this play is worth doing. It was one of the sources for Purcell's opera. Another Marlowe play we have not done is The Massacre at Paris.

Re: OPEN[PLAY]Amphitryon by Moliere - thw

Hi Sonia

I may as well give up the role I have claimed as I do not seem to be able to access a readable version of the script. It is only a small role so not worth making a fuss about.

Is it just me or is this text difficult to enlarge to a readable size? I find that at archive the text can be immensely enlarged. Did you ever notice the magnifying glass in the bottom right corner ? you should be able to see it here: https://archive.org/stream/dramaticworksmol02moliiala#page/464/m...

As there not many parts left I will take Naucrates.
