Oh! I found the setting in the "Recording" tab. It was already set to -130. I experimented with other numbers but it didn't make a difference in the end. Oh, well!

Hi Winnifred! I finally had a chance to try that, but it turns out that the version of Audacity that I'm using, 2.1.2, does not have this setting - or I couldn't find it. It does look like a latency issue though! Thank you
