Re: Hello!

Hello from Poland, Bonnie and welcome to LibriVox :) If you want to record, your first step should be to submit the 1-minute test, which is our way of checking that your audio set-up meets our requirements. That way, if you have any technical problems we can correct it right away, rather than tell y...

Hi. I've got another question. Is it OK to use 2 MW spots for a particularly long section?

Re: [SOLO] The South American Republics, Part II by Thomas Cleland Dawson - tg

I'm back :) And the section 29 is up. Judging by the contents of the Panama section, I was expecting to hear something more about how the whole canal affair even began, but at some point the author just jumps right in, talking about the French failure. Also, some info about the US-Panama treaty woul...

Re: [SOLO] The South American Republics, Part II by Thomas Cleland Dawson - tg

Section 30 will probably come on Thursday or Friday once I'm back from the trip. This book also has an introduction with bibliography and acknowledgements and I'm still not sure whether to read it and if so, how much of it. My questions is, would it be possible to skip the bibliography and acknowled...

Re: [SOLO] The South American Republics, Part II by Thomas Cleland Dawson - tg

The next section is long, so I skipped it for the time being and went straight for the Panama one. It makes frequent referenes to the events described in the section I omitted though, so listening to it is going to be a weird experience, if you actually want to learn something  Also, I won'...

Section 28 is in.
The sound quality is quite uneven I think. At some point my laptop fan turned on and I think it's clearly audible. If you have any suggestions how to improve the situation, I'd be happy.
