This project is haunting me! I do intend to finish it, but I'm swamped with holiday stuff. I'm just checking in to say I'll get back to it when I can -- hopefully before the end of this month.

Um...I'm back. And Chapter 2 came with me. I just uploaded it. Better late than never?

Now that this project has a proof-listener, do I write something other than "PL NEEDED" in the magic window, or does that still apply to un-proofed sections?

Checking in -- I had a bit of a health scare that made me not want to do much of anything for a little while, but I'm okay and doing better and back to work on this project. Sorry to drop off the face of Librivox for a while!

I haven't done any noise cleaning after recording. I just put vocal filters on in Garage Band before recording. I haven't had this much hiss before, but I also am new to recording on this laptop (though not new to Garage Band). That's why I thought it was the computer's fan. HOWEVER, I will be more ...

Do you know if it is possible to convert stereo mp3s to mono?

Edited to Add: I know how to do it on ProTools, but I don't own ProTools. However, I could do it at work. I'll see about getting these converted.

Here's a test of the introduction. For some reason, I start to get a lot of computer hiss midway through this recording. I'm recording on a laptop (Garage Band) Mac. Perhaps I should re-record, if I can get around the fan.
