Re: GROUP - Frauds, Forgeries, and Fake News Collection 01 - tg

Just to clarify, is the Stoker piece a fraudulent document itself, or an objective descriptive report of someone else's fraud? The latter. I realised after I'd posted that I might have misunderstood the purpose of the collection. If you're looking for texts that are fraudulent in themselves, the ch...

Re: Coffee Break Collection #28 - HOBBIES - lt

Hello Michele First time I've PL-ed! I used the text at https://www.gutenberg.org/files/21111/21111-h/21111-h.htm#FEEDING_BIRDS_IN_SUMMER and I noticed: at 2:13, a few words missed from "golden-bronze plumage" to "sober-coloured mates" at 7.30, should be "mother bird's heart", not "mother's bird hea...

I'll have a go at "Two London Hoaxes" from "Famous Impostors" by Bram Stoker: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/51391/51391-h/51391-h.htm#A_TWO_LONDON_HOAXES (Plenty of other stories there, if anyone's interested). I was thinking of something on the Tichborne Claimant but I haven't yet found anything ...

Re: [HISTORY] The Red Reign: The True Story of a Year in Russia, by Kellogg Durland-mas

Really enjoyable and enlightening project! I agree. I actually read the whole book put of general interest (I knew a bit in outline, but hadn't realised just how extreme so many people at the highest levels of government were). And a bit of googling turns up some more on the author's life and his s...

Olympic Games is PL OK, except . . . . . please change your file name by removing the underscore between olympic_games, and upload to the lynnet's folder again. Post here and I'll put the correct file in the MW. Uploaded again with revised filename as requested> https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/...

I don't want to nag at such a difficult time for everyone, but I put up section 39 some time ago, and it isn't in the MW yet. Should I have another go at uploading it?

Re: Coffee Break Collection 27 - SPORTS - lt

An obvious candidate is the zccount of a village cricket match in "England, Their England" by AG Macdonell: he died in 1941, so it's out of copyright here, but the book was published in 1933. Does that rule it out for this collection?
