Re: Conan Doyle horror story

I think you would be best adding it to a short story collection rather than as a standalone project. Have a look in the Short Works forum to see the currently open collection.

Here we go! Thanks for the picks, Beth - fun. How I wish I'd ever heard of her as a child, I'd probably have these memorized. https://librivox.org/uploads/dlolso21/railwaychildren_14_jimmythehound.mp3 0.98 KB https://librivox.org/uploads/dlolso21/railwaychildren_12_jimmythehound.mp3 2.98 KB https:/...

Re: [Dram Read] Railway Children, E. Nesbit - dlo

Hi Beth! I could do any (or all) of the following: Cart Man Ch 1 Jim the Fireman Ch 4 Farmer Ch 5 Bill the Bargee Ch 8 Workman 1 Ch 11 Blacksmith Ch 14 Hi Nemo! Many thanks, I'll put you down for all of these except Bill the Bargee, which is under discussion by PM - if the person I've asked doesn't...

Re: [Play] The Gondoliers by W.S. Gilbert - annise

You don't need to read the DP - that's where the voice credits go. Yes please read the double title section - that was the fashion at the time. Then skip the summary and go straight to the full setting description please, where it says "Act 1" in big letters.

Re: FULL [DRAM.READ] Wives and Daughters, E Gaskell - m8b1

I hope she's OK and feels better soon!

The majority of the PLing is done, so I don't think the project needs a new DPL. I'll work with the editors of the final versions and PL it myself.

Re: [Play] The Gondoliers by W.S. Gilbert - annise

There's not much Italian - it's basically all in the first scene for establishing the setting, then they forget about it! Act 2 takes place in "Barataria" so there's no Italian there at all!

Thanks Tomas and TJ, your claims will appear in the MW soon!

Re: [Play] The Gondoliers by W.S. Gilbert - annise

MW is filled in and we are ready to roll!

Anne, you've never done any recording that I've heard - but if you ever wanted to, Inez is a nice little part that would probably suit your voice?

Re: [Play] The Gondoliers by W.S. Gilbert - annise

Thanks Tom and Leanne! Both claims will be put into the MW later today! Tom, as the Narrator you need to read the LV disclaimer, your own voice credit and the scene opening. Then any "action" directions such as "lifting blindfold". If you aren't sure, please include it as it is always easier to cut ...

Re: Samuel L Brengle books - PD help please?

Here's a link which says it is made from a "non copyright copy" but then it says it has "all rights reserved" on it: http://wesley.nnu.edu/wesleyctr/books/0301-0400/HDM0348.PDF It's held by a library which has placed it in the PD, but it is an electronic copy of a CD. The library has it listed as PD...

Re: OPEN[PLAY]The Gay Lord Quex by Arthur Wing Pinero - thw

Oops! This project has just jumped up to the top of my queue - I'm afraid I had forgotten about it! I'll get to recording this one next, but I'm afraid I'm going to need an extension on the 2 month limit, which was during last week. I can do it in the next fortnight, if that suits.

Re: FULL [PLAY] The Mikado by W.S.Gilbert- annise

As this project is fully recorded and very close to finishing, I've gone ahead and launched "The Gondoliers" if that would be of interest to anyone on this thread. The green link in my signature panel will take you straight there!
