Re: [Group] Helps to Holiness by SL Brengle - dlo

There's a Google book of Love Slaves which appears to be a PD first edition but I can't get access to it...

Re: Samuel L Brengle books - new source in first post!

The first edition was published in 1923, I know that. The problem is that most of the online copies seem to be derived from either the 1960 3rd edition or the 1978 Salvation Army reprint.

That disclaimer from LWBC just doesn't guarantee anything - I don't think it asserts a new copyright.

Re: Samuel L Brengle books - new source added?

And there's this one from Archive, but it only says 1923 as a publication date: https://archive.org/details/LoveSlaves

Re: [Group] Helps to Holiness by SL Brengle - dlo

How about: [url]file:///C:/Users/Owner/Downloads/LoveSlaves-SamuelLoganBrengle.epub [/url] epub format is a little more difficult, but I can read from it. Gives the date as July 1923, so should be PD I can't open that link - what is the source? EDIT: found it. https://archive.org/details/LoveSlaves...

Re: [Group] Helps to Holiness by SL Brengle - dlo

Thanks Devorah, these are in the MW! I'm sad that this project is almost finished though, as I think this will be the last Brengle book! I haven't been able to find PD online copies of any others, although I know there should be several others extant...

I haven't got a MW yet, but I usually read the first chapter myself. Do you want chapter 2?

I'd like to read Miss Julia please - I think she's a teacher, so that should suit my voice.

Re: Request for more LGBT content

A few thoughts: Browsing this thread, my mind kept going back to Well of Loneliness (Radclyffe Hall), but I was dismayed to find it was published in 1928. So I am not sure if you know about this book, but here is the book that is said to have inspired Hall in writing his book: http://www.gutenberg....
