Re: [CHILDREN'S ADVENTURE] Haworth's by Frances Hodgson Burnett - ke

I’m sorry I won’t be able to finish this like I thought. I will have to relinquish my chapter.

Re: [CHILDREN'S ADVENTURE] Haworth's by Frances Hodgson Burnett - ke

It's been an embarrassingly long time for me, but I think I'll jump back in for a bit. Can I have the next available chapter?

Now to refresh my memory on how to do this...

Re: LibriVox Podcast #121 - LibriVox: The Pioneer Days

Kri, your recording is delightful! I love it! And it is an honor to have you, a LibriVox pioneer and someone who did so much to help build the momentum of the project, as part of this podcast/documentary. I do certainly hope you can find the time to come back and record again. I'm sure you are sore...

Oops! I just realized I should have probably given it a better filename.

Re: LibriVox Podcast #121 - LibriVox: The Pioneer Days

OK, I'll dust off my recording voice. Someone help a rusty old volunteer with virtually no set-up for recording? Would someone be wliling to clean it up? My background noise is awful. What format should I save it in? Told you I was rusty. If it's good enough as is I'll take it. If it's so bad it can...

MP3 book helper

I just wanted to pop in because I saw reference to a program that allows you to easily edit ID3 tags. It seems to make mass editing much easier, although I must admitt I haven't actually tried it.

Re: Section 39

I've finished the knitting and pattern for section 39, and welcome comments / suggestions for improvement: http://www.knitting-and.com/wiki/Pretty_Open_Diamond_Border My hope is to get the knitting done for my other two sections soon, and then record all three sections. I didn't look at the text, b...

Don't let your accent stop you, by all means!

Hey, your idea sounds great, and I can't see anything in there that would be a problem. Of course this all relies on people to take the initiative and get these sorts of things going in their area. We encourage people to publicize LibriVox in any (legal and respectful) way they choose.

It's true that we'll never reject readers because of the way that they read or because of the technical quality of their recordings, but I think that most readers are anxious to provide a recording that other people enjoy, and positive, constructive criticism is usually welcomed. I just want to not...

Nothing as of yet. However, you can sign up for an account on the wiki and create a bookshelf there on your own.

OK, I forgot to post this a while ago, and I figure I'll post it here since this is also for other needle arts. I heard about a website in one of my podcasts where they're posting public domain sewing patterns, and trying to create a sewing community sort of similar to Ravelry around it (the compari...

Re: The Cadence of English

I want to begin by saying how much I love Librivox and how dependent I am on listening. Librivox has many readers with varied accents and differing pronunciations. If a place name is mispronounced it may be momentarily distracting but it doesn't mar the whole reading. In a few of the readings thoug...
