Re: [SOLO] Pauper, thief, and convict - Archer - ans

Yes, I felt the same way. An unfortunate word choice by today's standards, no doubt.

Section 4 is PL OK

Re: [SOLO] Pauper, thief, and convict - Archer - ans

Thanks so much, Peter.

We're almost there, except now I hear what sounds like a double track in the beginning of the intro "Section 3 of The Pauper, the Thief and the Convict." After that it clears up and all else is good.

Re: [SOLO] Pauper, thief, and convict - Archer - ans

Peter, I have to apologize. I neglected to mention that the chapter title 'Parochial Relief' was left out of the intro. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience that has caused.

Re: [SOLO] Pauper, thief, and convict - Archer - ans

A very sobering chapter which makes me grateful for what I have. ~10:51 I hear 'Hollywood Place" for 'Hollybush Place' ~21:31 'speak of it' is missing from 'when those who follow it speak of it" ~25:54 repeat of 'and' in the phrase 'and hulking youths' ~44:23 is a cough right before 'were ...

Re: [SOLO] Pauper, thief, and convict - Archer - ans

I tend to listen to audio books in large chunks of time so I don't mind long sections at all. However, since the subject matter of this book leans on the heavy side, some listeners may wish to digest the content in smaller sections. Ultimately, I would just go with whatever feels most comfortable to...

I got a good chuckle out of that, and you are absolutely correct. If I had been able to check in earlier I would have admitted so.

Re: [SOLO] Pauper, thief, and convict - Archer - ans

Thanks for clarification, Peter. I wondered if some of the chapters might be a bit long.

Yep, those gems... They are a bit problematic.

Re: [SOLO] Pauper, thief, and convict - Archer - ans

Here are the notes for 1: ~13:08 "while 9132 could do neither" was read 932 ~16:14 "and" is repeated in the phrase "and elsewhere" I just wanted to double check about the intros and outros since the template shows that you'll be using "Section #" for both. In ...
