yes I was spoofing you both- and we had "mystery sounds" often on morning radio shows. And it is a long time since I watched Star Trek :D

Re: Name that Sound Contest

Didn't know you frequented bars, Phil. I learn something new every day. But what do you do on hollow decks? Anne In the Star Trek television series, the starship had a recreation area known as the Holo Deck where you could experience any fantasy in a 3D holograph environment. It looked exactly like...

Re: [group] The Bee People by Margaret Morley - philc

Dear Phil, I have re-recorded chapter 15 and here it is with chapter 16. They sound naive to my ear but an interesting first attempt. I hope that the rest of the book is coming together well and am intrigued to find out more. I read it straight but it felt as if it should have been in a more comic ...

Re: I can't get uploaded

I'm going to try to make a video for you, but it's going to take me a while - I have to download and install video software, then remember how to use it. (I've done it before, but it's been a few years.) Tricia, I made a video already. Hopefully it explains what he needs to do. It's further ...

Re: I can't get uploaded

Progress, but no progress. I was able to install LAME. I made a new recording, and hit export as MP3. I said save to Desktop, gave it a name, hit save. Went to Upload. I did not find my file, but I found my LAME download, so I entered that. It seemed to be going through, but in the end it was rejec...

Re: I can't get uploaded

Hey! here is a little video on "how I export an MP3 and upload it to tests" . https://youtu.be/GKn9MirE3bg If you don't see the export as MP3 option you need LAME. If you do see that option then it is smooth sailing from here on!!! Let me know if this confuses you more than helps, eh?

Re: I can't get uploaded

Nope, still won't work. I've done everything, and it still keeps coming up "aup" instead of Mp3. I'm doing something wrong at this stage, clearly, but I've no idea what it is. The videos don't seem to help, because they simply omit the filling out of the dropdown screen when you go to export as an ...
