Hehe, yep, that was me Hugh, as I said in my wiki Talk page, I'm so sorry! I had terrible timing indeed! Guess that teaches me not to keep up on goings on over here eh? I'm happy it all worked out though and I guess I ought to look over the Readers Wanted section to find my 3rd reading selection for...

Thanks, Eileen! Just one note - you appear to have sampled at 48k rather than the more common 44.1k; this could cause a problem for some listeners. Don't worry, I will fix it, but you might want to check you settings! cheers Chris Thanks for the heads up, I might have inadvertently changed it when ...

I had some technical difficulties right at deadline (I didn't get my own podcast out either) I will deliver chapters by tomorrow night though or if you've got another reader lined up I'd understand as well. Sorry about this.

Congratulations! I was called by the interviewer too but I guess I just didn't make the cut. He was asking about my own podcast but also asked if I'd heard of Librivox and I said "of course!" and told him about my Wodehouse readings and my upcoming Austen chapters. I think he got Librivox'...

Thanks Gord. That gets us to about half-way. I'd like to suggest a target of Jan 31st - if you have an outstanding chapter, perhaps you could post here (or PM me, or email me) to say whether you think that's ok? I'll chase up anyone I don't hear from in the next couple of days... That would work qu...

By way of response, something I wrote in February 2001: "Roger Zelazny was one of the greats. I had the privilege of meeting him on a number of occasions, and on each one he was nothing short of a stellar gentleman and keen company to someone who really didn't deserve it at all (particularly a...

Re: Another MLS!

Hi, Jonathan, Another M.L.S.! I have one too, from UCLA. I also happen to sing, having trained for a number of years. Maybe we could write and sing some songs about libraries and even Librivox. Or not. <grin> Welcome! Well... I'm a Bruin too :) But I don't have an M.L.S. from there, I have a BA in ...

Hehe, they didn't have computers at the front desk where I was at either, we didn't have to fill out slips of paper though, there was a card system where they would stamp the due date on it.

Thanks for the welcome :)

I loved this novel and would love to help out on it.

I'll take chapters 50-51 if those are still free.

I wouldn't mind doing others as well, I noticed some of the early chapters seem to have gaps.

Eileen or "e" of The Public Domain Podcast

I love reading, always have. I was the kid who got the maximum number of books from the library, read them all before they were due, and bugged my mom to take me back so I could get more. I read the "Lord of the Rings" books at age eight, at which time I also wrote my first short story whi...
