Rousseau's Discourse

From a listener via email:
Here's another suggestion: that LibriVox record Rousseau's Discourse
which won the prize at Dijon... on the arts and sciences, which was first published in 1750, English translation 1751.
Good wishes,
David
We have it in French, but not the English translation.

Re: COMPLETE: Ancient Civilizations of Mexico and Central America, by Herbert J. Spinden -jo

You need to post in the thread to claim it as the BC of the project. As the BC, it's best to preclaim it before the project is cataloged and it goes on the list of projects without covers where any cover artist can claim it.

Re: [S0LO] The Mother by Pearl S. Buck - kd

HOUSEKEEPING NOTE: I notice that a search for Pearl S. Buck on LV renders "no results". A search for Pearl Buck brings us to an LV author page called "Pearl Buck" and lists Version 1 of this book and here the Wiki link says Pearl Buck, but the Wikipedia page linked to is Pearl S...

Re: [BIRDS] The Birds of the Air by Robert Ramble -jo

You can use Robert Ramble or John Frost in the intros. In the summary I would add that Robert Ramble is a pseudonym of John Frost. A search for either will bring up John Frost as the author. His catalog blurb mentions the pseudonym.

Re: [BIRDS] The Birds of the Air by Robert Ramble -jo

IA seems to suggest Ramble is a pseudonym of John Frost, but I couldn't confirm that is the case.

Edited to add: Library of Congress lists Frost as the author.

Re: ~SOLO The Making of Americans by Gertrude Stein -jo

As long as it came from a PD text, it would be, but if it"s a description of the book on its google books page, then it is probably not PD. Perhaps you can write one of your own after recording the book.
