Re: my test
Greetings Don I reviewed your test sample, and while it sounds good there are some technical changes needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kbps constant bit rate MP3, 44.1kHz sample rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your test audio is 192kbps. When exporting your MP3 from...

Welcome Amy
Your audio meets LibriVox requirements, so you are good to go.
BTW, I've long recommended the 2035/Scarlett combo as the best value. Your audio did not disappoint.
Happy narrating!

Re: Justine N One Minute Test
Welcome Justine Your settings are correct and sounds good, so well done. There is however too much background noise, which sounds like a fan. I also detect some plosive sounds when your breath strikes your mic, such as at 9.7". Reposition your mic so that it is off-center about 45 degrees. Add ...

Re: 1-Minute Test by ArboMycelio
Welcome Ari
Your audio meets LibriVox requirements, so you are good to go.
One note: Your volume is 91.8db, which is barely under the max of 92. I recommend targeting 89db going forward to allow a margin of safety.
No need for another test.

Chapter 1 ready for PL.
Nowhere can I find a definition of "fromagers" other than a French word for "cheesemaker," which makes no sense. If you have any ideas, please advise.

Re: How big is YOUR studio?
I have a closet about 5x5' square in a spare bedroom. No clothes, though; walls covered with acoustic foam.
