Re: SOLO Galactic Patrol by E. E. Smith (version 2)
Could you please submit a 1 minute test as per your welcome email so you can get your recording settings right for us - it's much easier for you to resubmit a under 1 min sample than to rerecord a whole chapter. You are on you own jumping straight into an over 9 hour solo with no LV experience - so...

Re: 1 minute test for Mimi3
Welcome Mimi3 I reviewed your test sample, and while it sounds good there are some technical changes needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kbps constant bit rate MP3, 44.1kHz sample rate, mono, and between 86dB and 92dB, preferably 89-90. Your test audio specs are technically correct, so well d...

Post a sample and tell me what you tried. Also, tell me what mic, interface (if any) and software you are using. Don’t worry, this can be solved.

Re: [SOLO SCI-FI] Danger Planet (with Captain Future) - icequeen
17 & 18 ready for PL. Well, I was hoping for more of an epic battle with the Kangas, but still a satisfactory ending? This was an engaging tale. Any more Captain Future stories in the offing? Thanks for an enjoyable listen. ALL PL OK! :D I asked flav, and he said just the two right now. I guess...

Re: How to interpret the warning around copyright and reading?
Interesting. It seems therefore that my ambition as a Reader is short lived, as in non-existent. Although, I guess it depends on the author of the work being deceased more than 70 years Thanks for the clarification Yes, it does. We all have to deal with copyright rules. In the US, many copyrights a...

Re: [SOLO SCI-FI] Danger Planet (with Captain Future) - icequeen
No to split hairs, but if none of the Futuremen are actually men, shouldn't they be the Futurethings? And since they were actually made in the past, the Oldthings?

Re: Test recording for review
The volume is fine. I realize I inadvertently left something out of my post above. You can adjust the volume level with Audacity before exporting by going to Effects>Amplify and enter an amount. In your case, an adjustment of +4 or 5dB would have done it. I do apologize for almost costing you the wi...
