Re: List of Early Science Fiction (not yet in the catalog!)

Well, as it turns out the Schmitz was just nominated for the Best Short Story Hugo in 1962, so maybe the mystery is solved. Goes to show that you shouldn't just accept something posted on the internet at face value. Verify!

Re: List of Early Science Fiction (not yet in the catalog!)

Just grabbed Lion Loose. Thanks for the heads up, Greg. It’s not _short_ at 22K, but won the Hugo for short story in 1962! Wonder how it didn’t get renewed.

Re: A DIY Pro-performing Voice Booth Build

Nice work, Bob. I'm sure some of the more hands-on folks here can pick up many pointers. Looks like you've done some research into appropriate materials and have the construction skills and equipment to do the job. I particularly appreciated your plan to build it in the shop and reassemble in...

I love it when she calls out "I'm an audiobook narrator," as if that explains everything! It probably does. :D

Re: OPEN Short Poetry Collection 193 - rap

Hi Rapunzelina, Hope your vacationing is going well. I finally got caught by my procrastinating and not getting my poems in until the last minute--two of the poems I had recorded for this month were already in the collection by the time I got around to uploading. So, I had to do some hasty r...

Re: accessing LV catalogue with iPad ?

My suggestion is to: 1. Go to "App Store" 2. Search for "LibriVox Audio Books" (the free version works fine, albeit with ads) 3. Download to iPad 4. Enjoy This app and its developer have no connection to LibriVox.org, nor do I personally have any connection to them. I'm just a satisfied user. HTH, W...

It’s been done a couple of times, Phil, based on Philip K. Dick’s “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale.” :)
