Re: [SOLO] Lion Loose by James H. Schmitz - philc

Section 6 is up, and the last part of this space opera reminds me of the old Gilbert & Sullivan line, "Things are seldom what they seem!" :D Over to you, Larry.

Re: Creating spreadsheet from LibriVox catalog

Thanks Anne & Peter. I’ll give that a try. Certainly sounds more straightforward than trying to decipher the API, whatever that might be :D LibriVoxers to the rescue, as usual.

Creating spreadsheet from LibriVox catalog

I’m interested in creating a spreadsheet of my contributions to the LibriVox catalog. Does anyone know how I might download data from the LibriVox website to import into Excel? Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: Book missing title page

The eight scans at TIA all have a 1912 copyright date, so I'm confident that is the version PG used. A comment about the book at Biblio says Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill, 1912. [Reprint Edition] Olive cloth. Originally appeared in 3 parts in Oct. 1910, as "The City of Dread" in The Popular Magazine....

Re: An fan-blown heater and audio volume

I'd hazard a guess that what you're hearing is an example of Ohm's Law in action, Kevin. Most electrical heaters cause a very large current to flow in a power cord, which has the effect of reducing the voltage at your power strip, hence to your computer, affecting the audio volume. Running the heate...
