Re: How do I delete my account?

Kodabar, what Norton says is true. Just change your email and password to something else and the original values will not be in the database anymore.

Hi Hugh, Another option also from Amazon would be their Elastic Compute Cloud, or EC2 for short ( http://aws.amazon.com/ec2/ ) which basically gives you a VM and you can run as many as you need to handle your traffic but only pay for as many as you run. The small system sounds like it would cover t...

Jo, just to be clear: -this- thread we are posting in is also getting this message. All of Librivox.org is, because Librivox is hosted on an (apparently unpatched) version of phpbb. I know that it's just the Mr Whicker's Window threads that are causing the message to appear, but it appears wherever...

As far as I can tell, Norton is issuing a false report here. I believe it's seeing how the symbol ' is referenced in the URL (as hex code) and thinking it's someone trying to exploit something. In any case, we're not vulnerable to the bug that Norton thinks we have. In short, I don't think anything'...

You need to download this file and burn it to a CD:

ftp://ftp.oss.cc.gatech.edu/pub/linux/distributions/damnsmall/current/current.iso

You can't just copy the file to the CD, you have to burn it as an image. I wish I could explain it more clearly to you, but perhaps this can help.

Something else worth doing might be to boot a Linux livecd and see if your keyboard works there. It'll bypass your Windows installation completely (it won't erase it though) and that will tell you for sure it's not a hardware problem. It very likely isn't a hardware problem, but that will confirm it.

I'd say that your OS is corrupt. Trying the control panel suggestions listed earlier is a good start. Other than that, I'd say reinstall Windows, but no one wants to hear that :(

I believe it's fixed. Please try it again. You need to empty your cache, first, before it will start working. (Go to IE, then Tools menu, then Internet Options, then click "Delete Files" and click OK.) The problem seems to be related to sitemeter.com, a service that librivox uses to keep t...

Connections across the ocean are notoriously slow. Other than that, I have noticed some backbone congestion in the US these past few days. Unfortunately that is out of my hands.

Hi Kiki! I believe you are confusing bits and bytes. When you buy an Internet connection, vendors rate it in terms of bits. When you're downloading or uploading a file, your web browser shows you bytes. 1 bytes = 8 bits. In other words, your "8mb down, 250kbps" upload connection should rea...

I'm able to login / upload with no problems. I cannot reproduce the problem that simonevers is experiencing.
