A Flat Iron For a Farthing
Or, Some Passages in the Life of an Only Son, by Juliana Horatia Gatty Ewing. Follows the life of Reginald D'acre, the "only son" of the title, from about age four until marriage. :) This was a popular English children's book, in its day. https://archive.org/details/flatironforfarth00ewin

Sermons for All The Sundays in The Year, by St. Alphonsus
(Liguori) I'm currently reading this as a PDF, and it's top-notch. St. Alphonsus really is excellent. Sermons cover all sorts of topics, and are packed with quotes from (and anecdotes about) various other saints.

Oh, hooray! I remember reading this book years ago and hoping that someone here would record it someday. The style reminds me of Kenneth Grahame.

The Arabian Nights Entertainments, tr. by Jonathan Scott
I recently enjoyed Volume 01 of The Arabian Nights Entertainments , available in the Librivox catalog, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in recording any of the other volumes? https://archive.org/search.php?query=title%3A%28The%20Arabian%20Nights%20Entertainments%29%20AND%20creator%3...

The Diary of Anna Green Winslow: a Boston Schoolgirl of 1771
This looks really interesting. An actual diary, kept by a girl of 11 when she went to Boston to "finishing school." I've seen it used as a source in different social history books. I wish there were more first-hand accounts like this available! https://archive.org/details/diaryannagreenw01...

Oh, wow! How wonderful that you're recording this! I was so shocked to find it (looking for Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich's Dolorous Passion). Good for you! I still enjoy your recordings of St. Teresa's works, and I'm sure you'll do this set of books full justice.

A Golden Treatise of Mental Prayer, by St Peter of Alcantara
https://archive.org/details/goldentreatiseof00pete If you've read the works of St. Teresa of Avila, you might remember her praising St. Peter of Alcantara's "little books on prayer." This is the only one that I've managed to find in English, but I'm hoping that there are others. Anybody in...
