I just replied to you -- I'd like to keep my part if it's okay.

You mean for "Come unto these yellow sands"? There are none that can be traced back to Shakespeare's own day, though Henry Purcell wrote one in the 1660s. It's rather difficult, but if you want I can record it.

I can do a line for "What Shall He Have" this weekend -- you want me to do the bottom or the middle?

(Also, I can probably record a hand-drum accompaniment for it once we have all three parts recorded, which would probably be pretty cool.)

Oh, that was me. I'll record them this weekend, and I shall try to (finally) do my own lines as well. ETA: Here they are! I don't know what voice part you sing -- I'm an alto, so I just recorded them at a place where they're reasonably comfortable (I transposed both of them down, as they're set for ...

Yay! Acting drunk and stupid is fun! :D On a less drunk and stupid note, do you want tunes for Ariel's songs? As I've mentioned in some other threads, I have a reasonably good background in early music, and do know period tunes for "Full fathom five" and "Where the bee sucks," if...

Enter Rumour, painted full of tongues.

If you don't like the manic giggling, I can redo it.

Here's Amiens. These are all for Act II, but I split the file because I had to change instruments for the second song.

2.1 and 2.5

2.7

Of course, strangebrooch. Amiens is yours! And if you have knowledge of the traditional tunes, that's awesome -- saves me the work of having to come up with a new one. Do you have a source? Several! Though not all of the songs have surviving tunes that are traceable back to Shakespeare's period (th...

Can I do Amiens? I am all about gratuitous singing parts. ;)

(I can double any of the other singing parts you need; I also know a fair deal about early music and am acquainted with the traditional tunes for the songs in this play.)

I know, after all the big battles in Pt. 1 you'd think he'd go out a bit more impressively. ;) Well, being a guilt-ridden and insomniac usurper of the throne is stressful. Also anticlimactic. But hey, at least he didn't die of dysentery like Henry V did. Between plays, thankfully. (The current RSC ...

There's a somewhat better text here -- it has fewer irregularities in speech prefixes, in that it does not eat the Lord Chief Justice, who has a fairly substantial part. Falstaff does, after all, need a straight man!
