I hope the sound is ok. I finally got my recording space set up and this is my first recording in it but I'm having my midwinter deafness so I can't hear very well at the moment.

Re: How to record poetry books with (some) very short poems?
It's not more difficult to catalogue it as longer sections, in some ways it's easier as you aren't trying to wrangle so many files into the right order. I've done books of poetry both ways. It's really up to you how you want to do it.

I've listened in 3 different programs (audacity, wavepad and wmp) and I can hear noise removal artifacts about the same in all of them. There is a sort of wah-wah sound throughout and a good example of the tinkly ones at 0:39. But that said I wouldn't call it significant noise unless you have a sens...

I usually use Anvil Studio and the free version is more than adequate for this sort of thing. But I think it's only for windows. http://www.anvilstudio.com/ Do you read music? If so, it's pretty easy. If not, let me know and I'll make a midi for you. I probably won't be able to get to it till tonigh...

Well, on the bottom of page 1 of the sheet music it says Copyright 1922 so it should be good. From the poking around I've done on the Levy site, they seem very good about not making images available for copyright items. You'll get information to let you know they have it but won't be able to see the...

You can find the sheet music here: http://levysheetmusic.mse.jhu.edu/levy-search.html You'll have to search for it as I can't seem to get a direct link to work. It returns a couple different options, when I search the first one seemed to be the one you are looking for. edit- And the song was origina...

Hi Ruth. Here's a little poem. I missed 5 by about 30 but it has a 5 in the title... sort of... close enough?

If you are looking to keep your current mic, which I would as it's going to give you much better sound than lower range usb mics, rather than trying to add an independent sound card, you might look into a usb interface to get the mic to the computer. Though would probably mean dropping out the Euror...
