Re: OPEN [DRAM.READ] The Carved Cupboard-Amy Le Feuvre-marya

Can I play the intolerable Cousin James? Sounds like fun, I can be quite intolerable!

Re: OPEN [PLAY] - Magna Carta - annise

Here are the Stage Directions, ready for PL:

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/magnacarta_narrator_128k.mp3

I checked the dB level at 89.4, so it's over the acceptable level set by LV.

Re: OPEN [PLAY] - Magna Carta - annise

Oh, and because there are lots of stage directions and I imagine this might make it difficult for the listener to follow, could you state character names when they precede a stage direction? E.g. where it says " William (puts out hand) . This is a hard command," I think it will flow better if you i...

Re: OPEN [PLAY] - Magna Carta - annise

I have a question about beginning my recording of the Stage Directions. Before the play commences, there is a long introduction to two plays, The Magna Carta and Edward III, which is largely about making costumes for children to perform in. Since we are not reading Edward III, and the introduction h...

Re: ~[group] Good Cheer Stories Every Child Should Know - Ph

Yes, story descriptions in the MW were a huge help. Saved me much time in reviewing the whole book to see the sections I'm best suited for.

Re: ~[group] Good Cheer Stories Every Child Should Know - Ph

I'd like sections 1, 3, 6, 8 and the short 14.

Thanks!

Re: [SOLO] The Storm by Daniel Defoe -ck

All files have been fixed with MP3GainExpress so that dB levels are 88 or 89. They can be found under the format storm_##_defoe_128k.mp3. That is to say, all extraneous "edits," "re-edits" and "finals" have been removed to that only acceptable dB level files are in the format, above. Thanks, Carolin...

Wow, thanks so much. Very helpful.

Great news.

How do you determine what the dB level is? I need to know how to do this myself, if Audacity is going to serve as my "amplifier" in future. I don't want to have to keep asking "do you hear me now? do you hear me now? ...

Thanks.

Re: How do you "amplify" using GarageBand?

I got some amplification, I think. Could someone please check to see if this is at 0.89 dB or better?
