I'm so enjoying your reading of this book! I have a deep interest in tall ships and this book is a classic and I read it years ago, but I forgot how much information it conveys. I have listened to your version of chapter 3 three times now. I love it.

I just wanted to drop a note and say that I listened to one of Josh Smiths submissions to this book and I wanted to write to him and tell him what a great job he did. John Muir clearly had a lot of soul and Josh seams to have been able to channel it and bring it out in his recording.

I was being lazy for two months but I'm back and do intend to begin recording section 25 this evening. Sorry for going over time. I notice we are instructed to include the chapter number right after the Librivox blurb at the outset, but I can't fathom how to discover that number. Any suggestions?

Here is section 17. It is 25:14 long. I had fun with it, as I have with the other sections of this marvelous book. Unfortunately I have had struggles with the French passages, even after feeding them into the French pronunciation website someone thoughtfully provided. I think I need Svengali to hypn...

I would like to set my sights on section #6 if that suits?

This is exciting. I have been volunteering for a couple of months and have made and submitted a bunch of recordings but it looks like this book will be the first one I worked on to be completed and go live! It's fun just to scroll down in the Magic Window and see all the "Completed, O.K." ...
