I love how after Frederick is so hateful to everyone, the Count is able to charm and flatter him into behaving civilly.

No, we won't try and paste together dialogue from different people. Each narrator will read the dialogue in their section just as if you were telling a story about a conversation you remembered.

And about the librivox stuff, I haven't thought how we want to add them without disrupting the narrative, but perhaps we'd want an unconnected person to read it once and paste it in as needed. I can't imagine the Frederick Fairlie I just heard saying anything about librivox! Walter is introduc...

May I have the doctor's and tombstone's narratives. There are very short indeed. In the doctor's, do you read " prof. title MRCS Eng. " : profession title MRCS England?? And in the tombstone's, what do " Bart. " and " Esq. " stand for? Ezwa Ezwa, I would love to have y...

I could post to the Listeners/Editors Wanted forum, directing folks over to this thread for their prooflistening feedback. Bu...

I'm considering assuming the role of Walter Hartright, though I am confused as to how the part will be read. Naturally, the main narrative and dialogue by the character would need reading, what about the parts within the narrative, such as his mother, Sara, Pesca, etc.? Read by Walter, with his own...

I ran into this on the "Austen-L" mailing list faq: The definitive Fanny-bashing The recent disputations about Fanny Price on AUSTEN-L have inspired me to include a passage from the C. S. Lewis book The Screwtape Letters below, in which the demon Screwtape ("his abysmal sublimity, the...

Anita suggests: Since Walter's such a large commitment, what if it were shared by two fellows or three? I'm not ready to give up on finding a singular Walter yet, but this is something to consider. I also toyed around with the 'Change Pitch' effect on Audacity to make myself sound more masculine. :l...

[COMPLETE] The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins - AF/ce

The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/the-woman-in-white-by-wilkie-collins/ This isn't exactly a play, but as I would like to coordinate the reading by having a single reader for each narrator, I am including it here. There are 1...

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=57CD03465E2F8848 I love this poem. One of the greatest seduction speeches of all time. I wonder if it worked? :) Peter There is an answer from the 'Coy Mistress' here ... I won't give it away. The lady should speak for herself. ;) Sadly...
