Re: Gone With The Wind

Australia has different rules for copyright. Since Mitchell died in 1947, all of her books are well out of copyright there.
In the US, with "Gone with the wind" published in 1936, as you write yourself, this book is still copyrighted.

So yes, we're out of luck here.

Sorry to make you cry.

Re: Lovely book by a British-born, American writer

Hi there and welcome! If you mean the second book mentioned here: http://annebosworthgreene.ponymadbooklovers.co.uk/ Then I'm afraid it doesn't look good. We only record books that are Public Domain in the US, which currently means "published BEFORE 1923". According to the page above, and the scan t...

Re: My 1 minute test

YOu sound quite tinny to me - that's usually the case with too much noise cleaning. A little bit of static is better than a distorted voice.

You should play with the noisecleaning a bit more and only do so much that your voice still sounds "normal". :D

Re: SOLO: FROM SAIL TO STEAM

Oh, this sounds interesting! I'll MC this for you! :D Okay, we're all set - you know the drill from here  I see that you indicated that there are 2 introductions. It depends on how you want to read them, either in one section 0 or spread out to two sections? In the latter case you might want t...

Re: Project recoding?

Hi there and welcome! Umm... I don't think you are realising the magnitude of the task you have set yourself! We now have about 12.000 finished projects, with, say, on average 25 sections each. That's 300.000 files. If I estimate that each of these files has a runtime of 30 minutes, then we'...

Re: Catalogue Name Change

Changing the catalog name is not a problem at all.

the username is more tricky because of a reassignment of each and every section you have read to that new user name. Best avoided, really.

Let me know what you decide, I can only change the catalog name for you.

Re: (Grp/music) Stories of Symphonic Music by Lawrence Gilman - lt

I could do section 12 on Dvorak.

I have a reference (see page 85) - do you want that in?
also, throughout, there are numbers of the pieces, given as (Op. 92) - just read that as O P 92?

Re: Principles of Political Economy, John Stuart Mill-icequeen

Here is section 35 with a length of 35:10 https://librivox.org/uploads/icequeen/principlesofpoliticaleconomy_35_mill_128kb.mp3 This was quite interesting, even though rather theoretical, and not taking into account modern economy, where it is indeed possible to move factories across borders (almost)...

Here is Chitra, with a whooping 26:43. Quite a feat, but I'm very happy she got what she wanted in the end!
