Re: ~[FULL] Barks and Purrs by Colette - law

Dear Ava, I have not forgotten my commitment to this wonderful project. All lines have now been recorded (some of them several times). Will move the editing along as swiftly as possible. Here is Act 4, please let me know if what I have recorded is sufficient or if changes of any sort are needed. Tha...

Re: MEMOIR: Twenty Years at Hull House by Jane Addams - ek

Good Evening Elizabeth, The chapter # is now included for intro and ending. Happy not to listen to a different drummer. The only change will be that the file's duration is 39:37. ~Kim Thank you for the read through of my chapter Veronica. I try and use the attention to detail approach, so "too ...

Re: MEMOIR: Twenty Years at Hull House by Jane Addams - ek

Hello Elizabeth, I had only put 5 seconds of silence at the end of chapter 16, so uploaded again with 10 seconds. The duration is now 39:36 and the file size is 36.2 MB. Probably should have waited until after it was PL'd by Veronica and then could have sent all the corrections at one time, but the ...

Hi Elizabeth, It was excruciating fun working on a first long chapter. May now have a clue on speedier production. By the way, I greatly admire the quality of your recordings and am amazed at your output (more so after my attempt at chapter 16). ~Kim URL: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ek/...

Faulkner must have been feeling like a very old 23 year-old when he wrote
this ballade.

Good Morning Carl, I'd like to record Faulkner's, "Lost Ladies". However, if
you want a different voice for each selection, it's no problem for me if you
would like to wait for someone else. Yours, Kim

Not real you say? Excuse me while I tell my little friend with the pointed ears
and the nasty disposition that he's naught but a figment. ...all gone now...
Will try to come to grips with my unruly imagination by talking this through when
next the Tooth Fairy comes for a chat. Thank you Carl.

Hi Ruth, For anything else to do or redo, I'll keep an eye on the thread. If nothing presents itself, then Fitz is finis. - If you are keeping the sheet music for posterity, the first phrase of American Air should have "retreating". I missed it too in my first rendition of the ditty. ~Kim ...

Hello Ava, The rhythmical hum must be the audible oscillation of the AC current from the power source for my new recorder. After a bit of experimentation this patterned hum is not apparent when I use batteries as a power source. I understand there are filters to block this specific problem, but I'm ...

Ruth, My recorder doesn't show the waveforms which makes it difficult to anticipate entrances on the songs without intros. I usually tack on, in front, the first two phrases of the song minus the upbeat. This works pretty well for me. Here is an example for anyone else who might not use their comput...

Hello Ruth, Would you please accept a redo on two of Fitz's songs. With new equipment and a little recording practice under my belt, I don't have to worry so much about the tech end, so the final product is a bit improved, esp. intonation on "Another Good Man". No worries if time does not ...
