Getting around PD

Was thinking that it would be possible to produce a librivox.co.uk (based in UK), which takes into account UK copyright law which would open up the texts available.

Roger Fry died in 1934, so works published during his lifetime should be PD.

Lame I know, but I believe that my guide dog has the finest name a guide dog could ever have:

Watson.

He's a black Labrador and he's very well trained.
Does any one have a better name for a dog?
