Re: Principal needs/ number of readers

Perhaps you mean that we might not have enough of a particular genre? For example history books or mystery books or how-to books? Let me assure you this isn't the case. Readers are invited to read whatever interests them and they enjoy reading. We don't ask for anything in particular nor discourage ...

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread

Was your furnace running during one session and not the other? Your fridge? Those are my two culprits for variance in background noise if I forget to turn them off.

Thank you, Bev. I hadn’t noticed that Kristine wasn’t the MC on this one.
:) No problem. I took this on just before Kristine was re-admined. She is MC of all her BC projects after this.

Hi! I'm MC, I've been here all along but was waiting for Kristine to respond to the DPL offer. I'm going to assume she'll accept and I've entered you, Linny, as DPL.

Kristine, I apologise if I've stepped on your toes.

Re: The all-new "HELP! I have an Audacity problem" thread

Another thing about Audacity that I haven't seen mentioned in this discussion is that it is a resources hog! The more data (audio, tracks, labels) that you have in a single Audacity 'project' the slower it will work and the more likely it is to drop information. Depending on your hardware this could...

I didn't realize it had been so long either! I don't worry about monthly check-ins from you. I know you're around the forums elsewhere. No rush, do what you need to do. I'm sorry to hear about your parent, my thoughts are with you.

Re: Silly question Friday---Glasses for computers

Some two decades ago, before I built and occupied my Fortress of Solitude, I met someone who claimed to have glasses made especially for his computer use. Is there such a thing still? Is it a worthwhile purchase. Yes, there is such a thing. An emphatic YES! for is it a worthwhile purchase. I have a...

Thank you Tricia! I have a section recorded for the next one but the editing was putting me to sleep. If you don't start another for three or four years it might be ready by then.
