hmm, I hope I'm not flogging a dead horse here, but... In terms of blessed lunacy, the most liberal of creative commons licenses, fits the bill. Everything that everyone has been talking about, giving, making works available, etc. Though I agree, there is something wholesome about 'no right reserved...

Yeah, I see your point, though I think the pros outway the cons (for CC) The difference between gutenberg and librivox, is that gutenberg is putting public domain stuff in an accessible place. Librivox is actually creating new works. But anyhow. What if, as a bare maximum, we went with CC no rights ...

Also, many of us here at LibriVox believe information should be more freely available to the public, rather than have restrictions on it. And this is precisely my point. Creative Commons is available to the public. Everyone can download and share the recordings, people can give them to their friend...

hmm, i hear what you say. The problem must be at my end. hmm, I just tried playing it in totem rather than helix player, and it's fine! Normally I play my music in rhythmbox, (which is why I get no clicks, pops, etc.) but when I get a one off file, I play it in helix player. That's where the problem...
